300k is about the point you’ll start to feel a bit of relief as the amount of money you have can come close to generating the income you need to survive. You can do a decent amount with 300k as well.

If you’re not there, you need to fight, scratch, and claw your way up. Scrimp, save, work extra hours, just fight like hell to get to 300k in liquid assets.

$300k at a 3.5% return is only around $10k a year, that is poverty tier. You need at least $700k to live like a NEET that only pays for a tiny box with an internet connection.

Even if you made $100 per hour (top 5% of WORLD Earners) 300k would take you years to accumulate and you act like it’s peanuts. I have over 300k I doubt you do

You forgot the cost of living, and majority of earners in that range live in high cost of living areas. It would still take years to accumulate. It is not a small sum. You can be a charlatan all you want.

It was thr complete opposite for me, literally started out with 30k once I hit 200k the stress compounded got even worse at 500k. Can't use the same trading strategies like you can when you are trading with 10k or less. Losses hurt even more and for me the fear of losing made me make some bad trades. Been in 6 figure hell for 6 years. Psychology of trading is the hardest thing to master imo.

If you're in Zimbabwe or were born into a well-off family maybe. In the current era having 300k before 30 is pretty much impossible without some sort of bs, huge luck or nepotism.

Can confirm. I started to get a bit froggy at work knowing I had a multi year runway saved up. Ironically, it led to higher paying jobs and dual employment. Unfortunately it’s just a bit of comfort and I still have a decade+ of work ahead of me.

I bought two houses and a sports car that went 4x in value. I made over 300k before 30 and I made $25/hr at my job for those years. Sure luck played a role but I wouldn’t have got lucky if I sat on the sidelines like the current generation does. Luck is a byproduct of persistence and I lost many times but came out far far ahead

I have about 400k with about 80k purchases in stocks this year. If the stock market ever goes back to what it was I'll be so rich.

Meanwhile I am scooping up dividend earning opportunities everywhere. It's still like $500 here $800 there. Doesn't feel like much yet, but normies are paying that out for their car payment every month.
