How often do you swing trade?
How much do you swing trade with?
How much do you make daily with swing trading?

>> No.5365071

Swing trading isn't a daily thing, so maybe asking how much weekly might be better.

I typically make a handful of trades a week, under 5. 10% of my stack usually into each. If the choices were slim I'd prob do more per trade to maximize the profit potential but there's too much gold out there right now to be all into one.

What's like a good day, or week i guess for you doing swing trading?

5% 10%? 15%? is it worth it?

Imagine playing Super Mario and you're jumping from platform to platform to stay alive.

With crypto, you can't see where the platform and you're midair hoping for your feet to quickly feel stability.

wednesday thru sunday I trade. I pretty much All in a non-shitcoin coin I feel confident in. I buy a red candle, set a reasonable sell price, and wait it out. cash out to btc before I sleep.
My goals are 1% net satoshi worth increase a day. cumulatively, this should equal roughly 1000% increase a year (using a compounding interest formula).

doing this I have wildly exceeded my goals, but having an obtainable goal to initially aim for makes it 1000x easier to not make shitty ath trades and actually make gains.

for example, I shot for ~5% cumulative gains this week. I reached 70% satoshi gains this week alone, even after yesterdays megadip.

reasonable. goals. are. king.

>How often do you swing trade?
Between 3 - 5 contracts per day, sometimes more, or less. They are leveraged.

>How much do you swing trade with?
Between $ 600.00 - $ 1,400.00 per contract. I usually have up to three live/open at once. It's the only way to see any money.

>How much do you make daily with swing trading?
$ 120.00 per contract/bet is what I aim for. Sometimes less, sometimes more. Each contract, once triggered, should begin to turn profit after 5 minutes and terminate within 90 minutes of reaching 'target'. They can remain open for up to four hours.

Do you often hit that 1% per day?

How often do you end up converting back to btc for bed at a loss?

Do you ever set stop losses just in case?

I don't have a sizeable enough investment yet to get good returns but your plan is exactly what I'm intending on doing once I get there.

Reasonable goals for main trading, and a small amount of gambling money on the side for me to play with on shitcoins /biz/ shills.

It can be. Scalpers try to sell off at 4-5% profit with a small stop loss. They go all in because they are playing safe and you can trade 4-5 times a day doing so. There are short positions which catches things on the lowest lows and sells them off a day later, a good example is Stratis. Than there are mid term holds like ICX and SUB. Or long term holds like REQ, XLM and TRX. With those long term holds you can day trade to increase the amount you’re putting in if they follow a trend. Like REQ always moons high and falls low. Last three pumps went almost 100% and they dip basically where they began. So it’s a safe sell at an ATH even if you don’t ladder

How much money you have? Once you start doing 10k trades It becomes difficoult not moving the market...you can only trade very high volume coins (iota has been nice for me with that)

Swing trading as in trading on poloniex or bittrex

>> No.5365954

I daytrade XLM and ETH mostly for BTC, never emptying the bags for either just getting more sats

1. High volume, predictable trends during the day
2. 5min candles that are long enough to not fail at it even if you're going for a 1% gain
3. Appealing tech whose value is only going to get higher for the mid term, so I don't care about shit going down while I'm sleeping or doing anything else

I used a little bit of investopedia to get started, but honestly a lot has come from experience. Starting out I mad some bad trades, and it took time to figure out what not to do. a trading notebook works great. just keep track of what you did, what didn't work, what did work, etc.

almost every day. any other market it would be a ludicrous jump for daily gains like that, but it's attainable in crypto (for now). I don't use stop losses, since if I am trading, I have the charts up. I treat it like a job. when on the job, focused on the job. and not often have I gone to bed at a negative btc loss. maybe twice in the last three weeks? You can't win every time unfortunately.

investopedia helps (ascending triangles, descending triangles, etc), and this board is good as well. there are some gems in here of legitimately good experience.

also, check out The Intelligent Investor. classic investing book. only half apllies to crypto, but that half that does is gold. >>5365640
I use 10k daily for trading. I figure anything more and I definitely run into that high volume liquidity risk. That's a problem for me to figure out at a later date

I typed these out on mobile, so hope I got them in the right order. best of luck anons.
