I've had SiriusXM subscription since my first year of college (2011) and while I love the company (both in-car experience and the app even though it kinda sucks) I just don't know what their future/plans are....my gf is 23 and has never really heard of it, none of my friends my age have it, I really do think the company is bouyed by a) truckers and b) rental cars, and I notice many of those don't even have SXM anymore. I don't think the switch is going anywhere soon since they have a corner on the headheld market. I know there is the steam deck and arguably shit like tablets but they're much more expensive and aren't really targeted towards kids like the switch is. Also Nintendo is one of the last remaining companies with actual console exclusives, even playstation has ported all but a handful of games over to the PC. Hello. I am not very knowledgeable about stocks, and I am not looking to get into stocks or stock trading, but I am set to inherit a shitload of a stock called kimberly-clark. I was just told they're a paper company. I am being asked if I want to cash out the stocks and receive the money, or give given the stocks. I don't even know how I would receive the stocks. I can hold and spend cash but I can't do that with stocks.
I kind of don't have a good reason to want to learn all about stocks and receive the stocks. The cash would actually be useful to me. But I don't have any idea how to know if this is a bad thing to do going forward. If I just take the cash will I incur all kinds of taxes or something?
