Accumulate debt, I don't see why you wouldn't. Just as long as it is low-interest debt... Stay away from credit cards. The value of the currency is going down the shitter, so for now just keep getting the most you can continue servicing. (ie making the monthly minimum) Real estate #1, cars and furniture, electronics. STAY AWAY FROM CREDIT CARDS THOUGH. You might thing maxxing your ability to pay your loans is cringe, but at some point you'll have all you need and be paying pennies on the dollar for what it's worth then.
And if you are a serious doomer, buy a farm, a tractor, and meat goats on credit, you will survive the happening that way.

Idk.
But I'm 26, finish grad school in 4mo.
Only have 90k between all of my accounts and another $40k in equity from various other assets. Getting a $50k signing bonus when i graduate to my $200k+/yr job
i wouldn't compare yourself to me tho i'm probably smarter than you.
not in debt and preferably with a net worth of at least 50k seems fine for our age.

these demoralization threads are one thing, but I've taken a job in property management and now have processed enough apartment applications that I can't shrug them off anymore. I want to be an Account Executive at The Walt Disney Corporation for $215,000 total yearly compensation as a 27-year-old woman.

lol. post your bank account retard. the fact is that i'm in the top 1% of income earners for my age and have more savings than most americans who aren't trust fund babies. i'm a certified genius and the jews have me locked down with a multiyear contract, but after that i'm going rogue and i promise you I will trick the jew capital into making me a millionaire in short order.

I've got about 5k in my savings, a paid off car in good working order and about another 8k in my roth and 401k. In my mid 30s like the other anon ITT and I think often about just running and drinking myself to death with it. Live in my car for a few years and maybe lie to my parents so they dont figure out what a colossal fucking loser I am

You compete against boomers as much as you compete against zoomers, no matter your age. If shit hits the fan while you're still "accumulating" you're still screwed, no matter your age.
Everyone is getting richer, you have to keep up.

You should be focusing on drastically increasing your wealth at specific inflection points in the global market, like the .com bubble, the properly market boom, the birth of bitcoin, and the latest post-covid stock market run.
If you fumble important events like these you'll find you miss out on 80%+ of potential gains, because outside of them the market is excruciatingly slow to grow.
