Do you ever take your silver out of the tubes to fondle? I don't have enough to fill up a single tube but once I acquire enough to fill up a tube I may ditch the single plastic cases and just use tubes. Single plastic seems like a terrible waste.

Alright lads. I literally own nothing but the clothes in my wardrobe, a computer, a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse, a crt tv, 3 slot machines, and I have become a minimalist in the sense due to owning literally nothing else. Close! Had my grandfather's silver dumped on me by my alcoholic aunt who said to sell it. Couldn't find a decent seller in 2018 who wanted to buy it. All the coin sellers were rude and said "don't want it, got any gold..." "nope, don't need silver. Got too much, am buying gold, though." "oh hey buddy, nope I only buy silver eagles. I'll buy any gold if you got any."

It took me forever to sell that stuff and I didn't want it either. I always liked gold from the casinos brainwashing me how beautiful and shiny it is. Never saw silver being advertised as a "victory thing to gain" from any movie or slot machine anyway. It was always gold, gold, gold. Didn't like holding a bunch of silver anyway. It's not for me, but I understand people who collect it. I just like shiny that doesn't lose its sheen.

The fact that you ask means you have an understanding that your request may not be reasonable. It seems likely to me that you just want an affirmation from any sociopath here that says it's perfectly fine to do this.
And it kind of is. It's your right.
I don't know what "shinies" means. It's a kiddie term, and it fits the question. If it's gold, there won't be a lot to test, so no, you shouldn't get flak.
If you mean factory fresh one-ozt rounds, that's a lot of testing, and what you're telling the seller is, "I don't trust you or your source" and that's being antagonistic, especially since as a dealer they have a reputation to maintain and there should be no cause to shit their time like that.
Recommend: randomly select a few pieces. It saves time, shows some trust, should satisfy you that they're being honest.

it is absolutely cope, but if you do it right it can be a worthey investment! copper sheeting is one of the easiest to store and highest value forms of copper. after that its pipes and properly rolled wire. pipes are hard to store effectively and wire is expensive to buy as is.so are sheets. so ingots really seem to be the way to go! they certainly arnt going to explode in value the same way as silver or gold, but they do have incredible use and will always be worth something!

if you could find anywhere to get it at $7 or so a pound then get a whole bunch! last i checked the spot is $5.50 pr lb. and buying that much metal means shipping is gonna be rough. i recomend looting from whatever construction sites or abandoned buildings you can. just be safe about it. then melt em down into some fun shapes.

i used to be a welder and would scavenge pounds of copper every day. the disposable tips of mig welders and scrap electrical wire are a great source but there are many other good ways to do it. old pennies, clearence bin at a bead shop i scored 72 inches of copper chain to make a dope necklace. little small and i did pay 4 bucks for it. but i just feel the weight compared to old pennies and i feel it was a good deal. plus i look fly as hell now

anons, I'm thinking about getting some merc dimes to diversify my chest because of advice and memes from here.
But it's brought a curiousity in constitutional silver that I can't answer.
why?
it really doesnt seem like theres good deals for it.
It's 90% silver and not even .999 purity.
you could melt it down, but I would argue generic silver bars can be found close to spot for that.
In a shtf scenario, for the metal disabled, why would they care for a silver quarter more than a modern quarter.

Unless you're into numismatics, why bother with constitutional silver? am I retarded?

you are a little retarded, but we all are.

having constitutional money is good for dealing with boomers and the government,

having small change in silver is great for dealing with anyone at a farmers market. might be hard for em to break a kilo if silver shoots as high as i think it will eh?

you can refine the silver out but there is a legal value in constitutionally minted silver. again, dealing with the governments money comes with guarantees and security. when silver is used once again, fake constitutional money made from steel or lead or whatever usually comes with a death penalty. so despite being a little expensive now, it may come with an implied certificate of authenticity later. all the while being widely accepted by anyone and everyone.

that being said, use the calculator found in the list of links above before you buy to make sure you are still getting a nice deal

Because unlike you, they've got their time, energy, hopes, and dreams tied up in this little shop. They're probably making very little, and their wealth is in the relationships they have with the community. This is based on trust and being liked.
You have nothing at stake. You're a random asshole off the street with nothing at stake or to lose. You're projecting your freedom to act like a jerk onto them because you believe everyone thinks like you. You're the one who wants to take people fro a ride.

BTC will be at $250,000 soon. That's a 10X increase over current prices. Please get invested today. Time is running out.

Has anyone here ever sold silver on eBay before? Anything I should be concerned about? I have about 20 or so ounces of random things. Doing a few searches show these things selling on eBay for what I paid for them (or more). I know if I sell them to my LCS I'll just get spot. I'm tempted to sell em off individually on eBay, but if there are some serious pitfalls with doing that, then I may just sell them at a loss to my LCS or just keep them. I'm not hurting for the money. I just want to refine my silver stack (and get an Indian head half eagle).

300 GBP seems pretty steep but sterling mugs tend to be pretty desirable and hold value. Try to get your sterling closer to spot next time tho, it takes more time watching for the right auction but good deals show up frequently if you know what you're doing. It's from London, the "1" date code stamp is probably actually the letter "L", looks like a match for 1906.

Happy to help, that site is a wealth of info. Also bookmark and browse https://www.silvercollection.it/ and you'll be able to identify about everything you're likely to come across. Dunno what the "thrifting" scene is like in the UK but it seems like "boot sales" and the like are viable sources for extremely cheap silver if you know what you're looking at. Many bongs have at least a basic understanding of UK hallmarks but other european silver is common there and probably more likely to be overlooked. In the USA most people who keep an eye open for cheapies know to look for the "STERLING" or "925" marks but far fewer know anything about .800 or .835 or other often seen alloys, if you are familiar with all the marks you will be able to take advantage of stuff priced unbelievably cheap.

Forgot about eBay fees and shipping... Screw that. I'll just sit on these until I feel like selling them for spot to my LCS. They always have a good selection of neat things, so it's only a matter of time before I go in and see something I want. At which point, I'll do the ole switcharoo.

I just learned my cousin inherited some old silver and gold coins from his father(my uncle) that passed away a couple months ago and he sold them to a pawnshop at a ridiculous rip off price. All together it was like 12k or 14k, and the pawnshop owner only gave him 4500. I made it clear to them I'm into this kinda silver gold or coin stuff before, and they never contacted me for any insight.

My extended family is npc tier but holy shit. I don't know if I should be mad at my cousin or the kike at the pawnshop. My cousin didn't even bother to research, he wanted cash quick to pay off his student debts.

Fuck , this makes me think, how much precious metals is sold to crooked coin shops or pawnshops and get for cheap to capitalize on retards? What if my rounds and coins are from previous retards with inheritance that sold to the shop I buy from

Guys I need your help.

I live in a country in Eastern Europe, and while metal detecting I found 2kg worth of gold hidden in a forest with other random household items. Deposits like that were popular in my country during the war, people thought that they would be able to come back home so they buried all their expensive stuff before they run. This one must have been from super rich jews.

Now here's the problem, if you find stuff like that in my country you are supposed to call an archaeologist so he can declare if the items you found have historical significance, and when that happens they usually steal most of the stuff for themselves and you cant even get a reward for finding it, and a small portion ends up in a museum.

I need your ideas for gold generating businesses that are easy to fake so i can sell some of the gold i found without the government cumming after me.

I cant pretend i have a mine because its impossible for me to get a mining permit.
And i can't say i found it panning there are no gold containing rivers in my area.

The only solution i coud come up with was waiting for my grandparents to die and say i got it from them but that will get me taxed as fuck.

Any ideas?

>I found 2kg worth of gold

What kind of gold items and about how old are they? If 20th century stuff it should be easy to sell, if medieval or ancient you need to find an antiquities dealer who is comfortable dealing in black market artifacts, many work from Germany. It really depends on your country and the type of items but you may be able to sell the pieces individually on eBay, or travel to Germany to find a dealer who would pay a fair price. If the items are less than 200 or 300 years old, for a plausible story about how you got so much gold you should start attending estate and personal property sales or auctions (where someone died and all their household goods get sold off) and then buy some old furniture. Give the detector to a friend for safekeeping before you start trying to sell, and If the authorities visit for an interrogation session you can claim that you found the gold in a hollow space or secret compartment in a piece of furniture or attached to the bottom of a drawer you bought a while before. Without the detector around as evidence it's a pretty believable story, people find hidden gold and jewelry and cash in old furniture relatively frequently. Now please elaborate more about what kind of things you allegedly found, I have experience with antiques and ancient coins/artifacts and can offer more specific advice.

First of all, I also come from an Eastern European country where gold was airdropped by allies to assist resistance efforts. I come from a village where, behind closed doors, men have been suicided by finding gold while prospecting. You're alive mostly by luck, if true.

Second, there's fences in most rural areas especially if you come from a country with lots of antiquities. Prepare to lose 50-60% of sell value by using one, and also be blackmailed or suicided for the rest of your life.

You sound similar to me, but I think an early total mental breakdown made me mellow out. Still been chasing women all around the world as well, except the Americas. It looks gorgeous in the south, north America is Jew country so I have no desire to ever go, but the south seems romantic to me. Guess it's the only place that's still exotic, I've been everywhere else and everything is shit, so I'm back where I started but it's shit here as well with the exception of people. I live in bumfuck nowhere and love it. I hope you can treat your kids better, I'm doing good but I always worry I'll fuck up.

I could take it to another bank for counting and deposit, but it pleases me far more to fill local coinstar machines with zinc pennies in exchange for the no-fee eGift card vouchers (versus 11.9% fee for exchanging for cash). The Jewish fee they charge hapless poors is bullshit so I like making them earn it by filling up the machines ahead of schedule with niggardly pennies that they have to send someone to collect and empty out.

How can parents be so fucked up, I don't get it. My parents would feed us kids cheap food and eat lobsters themselves. I look at a lobster in the store the other day and realised I've never tasted lobster, which is why I remember how they used to eat it. But don't be too sad for me anon, I went ape shit at 15 and literally held my parents under constant threat of death - and I meant it - until I moved out at 18. Never spoke to them after that.

I have a confession to make to you guys. I have been in these threads for years but I am a poorfag. I have about 160 oz of silver from scrounging for three years or so but I haven't had enough to buy anything for three months. Today I finally started back up with a 5 oz purchase.

I know it's not a reliable investment as it is just a stay of value during economic turmoil but what are the chances that precious metals go through the roof in price? What are the odds we actually do see a market crash in the foreseeable future? Are there resources I can read up on this stuff? If so I would be very grateful because I am limited to about fifty minutes a day to find out stuff on my own and it's just not that compatible with my schedule. Thank you in arvance I will read anything you send

Perhaps, but this time we have global inflation, some Jewish war and no way we can raise interest rates high enough to combat it. This is it. But I stay diverse, I've made a tonne of good deals on land, apartments, housing and a fat stack of PMs so I'm fine with the financial bit. Now I'm diving into more prepper style stuff and that scares me.

I think your situation is more difficult because it's complex. Mine is white and black. My parents were pure evil. I wore the same clothes every day to school, I had two pairs and then inherited clothes. Mind you my parents went on holiday abroad an average of 5 times a year all over Europe. These are just examples to give you an idea of everything else they might have done. Needless to say I have no love for them, I haven't lost anything because I never had parents.

My favorite PM books so far are pic related and "The Big Silver Short", both were really good reads.
Silver can absolutely go through the roof, but don't count on it. It almost did twice in 1980 and 2009, Fed stomped it down HARD both times.
We're in a market crash nigga, have been since Covid these unemployment rates, house prices and food prices are anything but a healthy market. Only reason we aren't completely fucked is the gigacorps are half the cause of inflation by just jacking the prices up on shit, they're doing great
