Well lads it's 2023 - how many of us have made it another year working from home? Let's swap tips here and trade insights on how we maximize the most out of our day

Me? I'm required to be online 75% of the 9-5 schedule now this year but as long as I'm listed as "online" and "on standby" I can do whatever I want. Lately I've been playing a lot of WoW, Bannerlord, and I've actually taken up a new hobby of trolling scammers on leddit.

Is everyone ready for the weekend?

In office 1 day a week, otherwise WFH.
On average I have 1-2 hours of meetings a day, then I maybe work for 30 actual minutes. Rest of the time I just turn on mousejiggler.exe and watch JAV piss porn or Sopranos on my personal laptop.

WFH 4/10s, off tomorrow and going on a vacation next week.
I should've been reading Moby Dick but instead I wasted the whole day watching Trainwreck gamba.

I'm 100% wfh and there's no tracking of what I'm doing, I just need to meet my deadlines and occasionally attend a meeting
I wish I was paid more but it lets me focus on crypto
I cashed out several hundred dollars in cash last bullrun though and think I can live my current lifestyle for a decade if need be
potentially interested in adding another job on top

I still have a job, that's what the thread is about

Wanking is the main issue. My balls are depleted from endless wanks. Had normal sized balls 2 years ago, now they're totally used up and shrunk to the size of Brazil nuts.
I splurt less than a teaspoon each coom now. I've got major issues.
My latest challenge is to start and finish 2 mins before a teams meeting

How the fuck do you niggers do it?
We had one guy who joined our business, classic work from home doing work 1 hour a day kinda shit. He lasted 5 months because everybody knew he was doing jackshit. Mousejiggler.exe meant nothing when people were asking for a quote he was working on for ages and had nothing to show for it.
Do you just have to find a company too retarded to care?

Pretty much, the larger the company, the less likely you will be caught slacking off

I'm not gonna get into what I do but even before covid my job was all deadline based
I just used to have to babysit my desk in person for the 10s of hours I had nothing to do
the thing is, my job isn't fun or sexy
I'm just getting paid to pay attention and maintain the thing I work on over a long period of time, which no one else wants to do

Another year as well. Dodged the vax mandate and now I'm a perma wfh employee. Pay isn't great but it pays my bills. Trying to figure out if I should move in with my mom and kiss my social life goodbye so I can support her or move back to my apartment fully and just move her somewhere dirt cheap. I had seven figures at the top and if I cashed out an extra 100k I would have been able to fix a lot of my issues. Oh well.

Also working a comfy wfh job while being unvaxxed. My father has been asking for money lately too. I'm going to be downgrading my living situation and moving somewhere cheaper in case he needs help. I wouldn't move in with your mom bro. Just help her pay bills.

I'm currently learning Spanish. Been making lots of gains with that. I usually spend 2-3 hours working on that each work day, which honestly hasn't gotten boring for me.
Supposed to go into the office one day this week but said fuck it, will probably go twice next week. Don't really feel like riding the subway.

Loneliness, rarely leave the house. End up sitting at the computer all day because there's nothing else worthwhile. Why get lunch out when I can make healthier/cheaper at home, etc.

Yeah part of that is having moved in 2021 to a lower cost-of-living area, but also non-existent tech scene so harder to find people with like interests. Another factor is the job has a lot of sporadic activity that needs quick response, so hard to step away.

I'm a third party designer (eng design) and there is no such requirement for us. I probably only work like 0-10 hours a week tops and get paid full time. Spend most of the day dicking around and doing whatever I want.

learn2code but not sure how accepting the market is right now for jr devs starting out fully remote. Especially without a degree. It's a possibility though as I've known a few devs that didn't go to college but landed a coding job. But you might have to commute to the office for at least a year before going perm wfh.

Been working from home for 4 years at a large company, but we have new senior leadership who are whipping us into shape now. Scrum master is now generating all these charts showing productivity (we've never done this before), which our director is going to look at every sprint. Feel like this is a preamble to layoffs. Gonna have to start actually trying so I won't be the lowest performing person on the team.

WFH since March 2020. Was previously working in Manhattan commuting almost 90 minutes each way. There is no tracking of computer activity for WFH with my company. There is a certain amount of work that I'm required to do each week and I do it. I've continued to get raises and bonuses as I did when I worked at the office. This year because of so many people leaving the company, I got a long-term incentive bonus in addition to the regular bonus. I'm hoping the gravy train continues. I can't imagine ever commuting again.

What kind of jobs are you working that you can get it done in a couple hours and fuck around the rest of the day? I just graduated with an economics degree and got a job as a credit analyst at a large bank but it’s 100% in office. I want to work in finance or in the finance department at a tech company. Is it possible to get these types of wfh jobs while making 6 figures?

I was working from home until October of last year but they wanted me to do more without paying me more so I quit. I can last another 4 or 5 months before I HAVE to start working again but I need to start looking for work eventually. I really don't want to deal with people. My last job let me keep to myself since I just looked at medical faxes and passed them along to another team for them to do something with them.

I want a nice quiet spreadsheet/fax processing job so no one bothers me.
