I know most of you fags just larp here but some do this and even feel that they are doing a good deed. I worked in a warehouse where taking the shit you want was normal, you just had to pretend you are not stealing. If it's considered by stealing only on paper and even if everyone else around you does it, it's stealing and it's bad. Even in a scenario where a restaurant throws away food at the end of the day. It may not be necessarily bad for others but mostly for you. First it starts with rationalizations and you live for some time with cognitive dissonance, but then shit accumulates and because your brain can't take it any longer you forget your original thoughts and rationalizations - you just continue to do it cuz it feels good. Greed kicks in sooner or later so you say "I can do better." From that point on you are on the road of teaming up with others and steal in worth of millions of $, however, the most realistic scenario is getting caught somewhere along on that road.
Even if you don't get greedy too much, your brain gets fucked up if you keep doing it. That pattern of thought translates into other areas of your life, you don't scheme how to steal stuff or cheat on tests anymore but you start having troubles in relationships and you start cheating other people you never wanted. You go from zero (or even positive) sum game to negative sum game. You go from le based to villain and you won't even feel like you've done something that is frowned upon or illegal. Having short convexity in life is like shooting yourself in the leg but the bullet you shoot now gets you in 15 years when you least suspect it.
