>Just pay 4x the cost for slightly more leg room and cheap alcohol for your 3hr flight
Is there any scam boomers didn’t fall for? First class seating is getting phased out by most airlines because the younger generations aren’t retard who will pay anything to feel special.

Half the boomers I see fly first class are manlets that don’t even need the leg room. I’m 6’6”, and I usually end up getting the emergency exit seat because flight staff moves me around. If not, you can usually pay for it, and it’s only like $20.

>> No.53126392

Its not unless you're super tall or fat. I've flown many 10+ hour flights and economy is fine especially when they have movies and shit for every seat. That said if you're super rich go for it. But if you make less than $1mi/year then spending literally a few % of your yearly income very time you want to fly somewhere, just to be slightly more comfortable for a few hours is stupid as fuck.

Correct.

For short flights anything other than economy is retarded. First class is (correctly) mainly used by professionals who work on the way and/or cannot look and feel like a bum upon arriving and going straight to hold their seminar/senior staff meeting/lecture

A. They have so much money it wont matter

Drugs were literally invented for moments like this, retard.

I flew a 13hr direct flight. Microdose of shrooms + megadose of melatonin + crushed xanny = nearly passing out on my way to the the terminal.

I blacked out the minute I boarded. Slept the whole way and had the most vivid wet dream of my life. The woman next to me poked me awake once we landed, and I freaked out for a moment because I thought I had jizzed my pants.

Then I realized I did jizz my pants, but it wasn’t visible. I still don’t know whether anyone noticed.

First class seats aren't for people that care about cost efficiency or "getting your money's worth". It's pure vanity, for people that have so much money that they can choose the most expensive/best option possible (before having a private jet) as default with no worry about cost.

It's like those with $4000 gaming computers that confidently checks all the highest graphics settings possible as default without worry even if it's not the most CPU/GPU efficient setting or even if it's not the best looking setting (Bloom effects on max sucks).

Airline travel in the continental US has become joke since the TSA.
>3 hours getting through "security"
>"security" consists entirely of illiterate shouting women who are only here because other forms of government work are too difficult
>wait 90 minutes because of a delay
>wait 90 minutes inside the airplane waiting to take off
>the flight is uncomfortable and somehow the passengers are even dumber than the TSA
>finally arrive
>wait 90 minutes for your luggage
>have to now get transportation from the airport
>do the exact same thing on return trip all over again
>thank you that'll be $500 for that experience

Meanwhile
>Car
>Where are you going?
>cool, drive for 9 hours
>maybe stop once or twice and get a burger with a handjob from a hooker (this is called a "James Dean Special" where I'm from)
>Arrive at your destination with all your luggage and without having been infected with a stomach virus

Also this kek. Those japs just jump on a bullet train and completely bypass a 6 hour ordeal just to take a 2 hour flight to colorado where your luggage goes missing.

They literally blew up the towers so the TSA created. Normans were getting too comfy traveling. The elites wanted to make it more difficult so they could justify private jets or first class as "government use" and do so on the taxpayer dime.

Flights went from a luxury, to a commodity and the elites wanted to make sure they could get back to luxury status and punish us in the process. Same thing happened with cruises too. Sit through a 9 hour ship boarding process or jump on a yacht in any Marina you want if you got a boat.

Lots of 5 over 1's going up everywhere. 1 floor of concrete and 5 floors of wood. Easy to get permitted as it follows almost every building code in the U.S. and they are cheap to build.

Much more economical than quadplexes or other standard apartment structures. Then they just throw in some lobby with a billiard table and a large pool with some cheap natural gas fireplaces with shitty rattan chairs they can replace every year. Charge you $1,500 for a two bed one bath because you are in a cool young people building with cool lobby. Cash cow if you have the working capital.

Meanwhile its getting harder and harder for young people to get a mortgage unless their credit score is immaculate, interest rates are low enough and they have $20-40k they can drop on a down payment for a starter home. Oh forgot they look at debt to income too. Even if you can afford the home cash, the bank is going to want to know how much your job is paying you.

Its a huge waste of money to buy cash if you can get a good rate. I locked my 15 year in at 3%. 30 year would have been like 2 something. Could have paid cash when I bought it like 2 years ago. Will be paid off in full in like 5 and thats because I put some extra money in here or there to speed up the amoratization schedule.

They almost denied my loan because I didn't make enough money but had the down payment and 820+ credit score. The point being though is that if the bank is charging you 3% then hopefully you can just keep your money and make investments that pay more than 3%. Paying in full you could use your home as leverage and maybe skip out on home insurance but that can be pretty potato depending on how its handled.

The US has mountain ranges bigger than all of Japan. Transcontinental railroads just don't make economic sense anymore in the days of cars and semi-trucks, passenger volume alone wouldn't make them close to profitable projects

now the funny thing is I NEVER pay for business class seats unless work sends me. For my own trips I just upgrade because I run all my spend through my credit card that gives me miles AND I fly one airline so I have Gold status (soon platinum) AND I always use miles to upgrade which actually gives me MORE miles to upgrade.

The whole appeal of something like first class is for people in the middle class income bracket to get a little taste for the lifestyle of someone far richer (experience of flying on a private plane). Truly wealthy people fly in private jets or charter. The decline of the middle class and as well as living standards has now lowered demand for it and that's why it's being phased out. The boomers just happened to around to enjoy that period. We'll never experience since we're living through a period of generational decline.

Boomers that flew in the lower classes (around 40-50 years ago) had a very different experience than today. Picture is from a flight in the 1970s. Look at how much legroom and space there is. Two less seats per row, an extra window. Complementary campaign in a crystal class. Eating real food with real cutlery. Modern air travel is like travelling in a cattle car by comparison and the opportunity for ordinary people to experience anything different is slowly slipping away.

First class is a waste of money desu, people call it stingy but I call it conservative, I book my flight tickets from Alternativeairlines since they accept crypto payment, and it is cheaper with the fees, I don't give a fuck about first class

In my view it's more of a regulation issue than anything else. I can think of about 40 things that would make airline travel both comfortable and affordable and profitable but they're all illegal so fuck it. Just get a nice car and drive.

If you're getting on a 4-5+ flight (and can afford it)
1st class is absolutely worth it.

only time i've ever been in first class was as a teenager when i was shaking and puking my guts out. my mom freaked out about it and they ended up giving me a first class seat so i could lay down and sleep. it was supremely comfy tbqh
at the time i thought it was food poisoning, but now having had several, pretty sure it was a panic attack

with first class they comes with some benz to pick you up right before the boarding, they prepare your papers and drop your baggage while they serve you breakfast in some vip lounge, and bring you to the gate 5 minutes before it closes
you literally don't touch with your feet from some hotel to the plane and don't have to waste time lining up with plebs
the only advantage of private jet is that you are not bounded by specific flight schedules so you can flight at any hour and have sex on it or have private business meetings inside
does it makes sense?
kind of, it's still 5/10X cheaper than a private jet flight
do i pay for it? no fucking way, but sometimes the company pays for it so i'll take it (i'm CTO)

/biz/ cannot into good job.

First class is usually for people with good jobs. Either work pays or they get upgraded on frequent flier status.

Also yes it makes a massive difference on long haul flights.

Its a mental thing. Once your house is paid off you can start on your next one or whatever else you want to do. Knowing you don't have a car payment or mortgage is pretty big. One step closer to being a free(er) man than debt cattle.
