Mainly the companies and people who have too much debt are boned. Luckily a lot of people learned from 2008. REITs for example got fucked in 2008, and now are waaaaaay less leveraged and their debt is on average around 7-8 years. Worst case for them their growth just slows as they delay taking on new debt and instead raise funds to make new acquisitions

Now that it's officially 2023 the following happens:
KY income tax rate falls so less green sucked out of my twice monthly checks due to state tax. The flip side of that; services are now taxed. Need a plumber? Get ready to fork out the cost plus 6% sales tax. The one good thing though is utilities are exempt from it. (long as you don't own several properties). The other thing; Wife was added to my health plan options so my check will be "cut" 300 a month. So really all the income tax savings and forthcoming July pay raise will be doing is restoring my check to it's 2022 amount. (or close to it;all depends on July)

The big companies like halliburton and schlumbger wont pay as much but will train you more (sorta). Go with companies like Gordon Tech, Scientific drilling, Aim or Tally. You will have to drive to midland/oklahoma where the rig is. You get a place to sleep when working though so dont have to pay for a hotel or something. Lots of people in oil will drive up to 20 hours a day to get to their job. They work a shift, most of them are 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. If thats not a problem start applying. Also cold call them. Unironically oil is a lot of boomers who will still hire you if you call them and can speak english.

No, its not low really. It was high while fed rates were 0% for so long. At this point, with the rates the fed is raising, corpo is a bad deal until it catches up. Why take a risk on meta for 3.5% when you get risk free 4+% from feds? You dont. Corporate debt hasnt caught up with rising interest rates.
