Let's say I'm retarded and have been hypergambling TQQQ/SQQQ everyday but it's exhausting and I just want to make a long term bet on SPY hitting 320 that I can't take back. I'd buy an OTM put for this, right? Basically I have 100% confidence we'll hit that level in H1 '23 and would like to just lock the bet in, sit on my hands and stop being tempted to switch positions every half hour based on the latest 1-minute candle. OTM options are basically made for this, right?

Tell me if there's a better way, I just want to go back to watching anime and playing dota and stop worrying so much about intraday candles.

there is a 50+ year long inverse relationship between yields and equity prices, RETARD. The traditional relationship is yields up = bonds down = risk on. pretty exactly what I want, maybe it's a retarded binary bet but if you're supposed to trade your conviction then that's what I think I should be doing. On any given day I'm trying to read the tea leaves and trade in directions I have zero long- or even mid-term faith in, which just wears me out. It's just profoundly obvious that short of a miraculous collapse of the labor market and reversal into strong deflation in the next few months that the fed is going to have to remain a hawkish posture long after the market thinks they should ease, and there are going to be several more shockwaves coming in the next months as the market absorbs the reality (for the nth time) that the fed means what it says and that it wants to err on the side of overtightening for longer.

So yeah I just want to bet on SPY down 15% from today's numbers and walk away for 6 months and enjoy life, and to not even be physically capable of reversing course impulsively based on some random green 5-min candle because I think I can scalp $100 off of it.

Once the realization has been made by the masses that WW3 has started THE BUBBLE WILL FINALLY POP selling will be as intense, if not more so, than March of 2020. We will see 2-3k down days again in the DOW. The market will crater, housing will crash, rates will spike, the USDX will leap towards 120. The Dow will crater down to 18-21k, housing will crash roughly 25%, and commodities will get crushed

Feds Preparing for Gun Confiscations

Thanks to horrible governmental policy, debt insolvency, systemic corruption, economic sabotage, soaring fertilizer prices, insane geo-engineering warfare against populations and the war in Ukraine, global food supplies have been getting plundered. So we really needed a banner year for agricultural production in both the United States and Europe in 2022 and that is not happening. In fact, unprecedented 'drought' is absolutely devastating crops all over the northern hemisphere. In 2023, there simply is not going to be enough food for everyone:

Well it could be that easing during, say, 2008 type recessions is a longer pipeline of lower rates -> cheap credit -> looser lending -> mortgages and car numbers turn around over a couple months -> econ data shows signs of turning around.

This "easing"/inflation fight pivoting could be faster since it's just lower rates -> traders move money from bonds into equities.

The current market is closer to the 70s than any other "bear" market. The underlying economy is still strong and the SPX should be priced much higher - it's just the fear over tightening driving stocks down. If you want to make gains you will need to aggressively front-run the Fed because the entire drop will be reversed in about a week once market participants catch on. The bottom is already in in the SPX (back in October). Now that the economy is finally cooling it's up only from here. 5000 SPX Q2.

It's actually quite a serious matter. You've come to the same conclusion as I have. Rules do not actually exist unless they are enforced enforced.
Team Biden will dump the rest in a misguided attempt to save the party. Bearish for oil, and also bearish for the long term health and stability of the US economy, and for that matter - the entire world.
They pushed noise about repurchases and set up a token order for 3m barrels to help spread the narrative that they're profiting off this SPR maneuver, but the reality is that they can never refill any meaningful portion of what they've lost without dramatically impacting the price. Every single barrel repurchased would cost more than the equivalent barrel sold, as the price moves back to $150+.

We'll likely see another temporary spike in oil prices this summer though, before they resume draining for the 2024 election.

>The FED isn't pushing the dollar down
Relative to pricing a month ago, the odds of the next hike only being 25 are up. Not to mention inflation and jobloss nowcasting, a more dovish Fed voting roster in 2023... I'm not saying a pivot is happening tomorrow but the US is certainly trending dovish.

>BOJ literally needed to save the currency so it's on a small rally
What's to stop them from lifting the YCC cap to 75 the second 50 is hit? Or otherwise responding to Chinese tightening?

And this is to say nothing of the ECB at least adopting a more hawkish front.

>We shall see though, if we do break down below get ready for the most face ripping melt up next year.

His fault for setting himself up like that, even before that he'd live on loans taken with his TSLA bags as collateral.
