Fix costs are insanly high on those. Also way more space than you need, so you need to rent at least a few rooms for weddings or tourists to cover at least some of the costs.

Europe has many old castles rotting away which you could buy quite cheaply (often even for sub 1 Million). But don't even bother thinking about buying one, unless you have at least 20 Million networth, an idea on how to use all the space and are willing to do a LOT of work.

this and this. The operating costs and upkeep are ridiculously prohibitive especially now that the western Europe has gone off the rails with energy costs, not to mention the small factor of council bullshit you'd have to put up with just to be allowed to do anything in your own place. There is a reason why these are being sold and for such seemingly low amounts.

Why would I pay that much money when I can just lay siege to the castle and conquer it

Additionally:
First of all the best of these castles are already owned and maintained and are not for sale, they are owned by people so wealthy they don't give a fuck about spending 50,000 a year on heating alone for example.
On that note, these places were designed before any of the modern amenities of the 20th-21st century. My friend and I from boarding school lived in one that belonged to his family and they are typically cold, internet is a mission, and to be honest you're out of breath not necessarily because they are so large but because leaving your keys in your room as you're at the door ready to leave or you're heading to the kitchen is a nightmare, people used to have service that would bring everything to you or have things ready for you etc.
Also everything associated with Castles has a premium. You're not going to buy a 3 million euro castle, or even a really rough 500k castle and flip it with Ikea and some pot lights. You need to blend modernity with antiquity, and to be honest everybody that figures out they're doing a 'job' for a castle will attempt to destroy you on the price.
Plumbing is a fucking nightmare btw.

All those will be remodeled and housed with the upcoming refugees. About 1 billion will flee to Europe because of climate, famines and wars.

You have no idea how much it costs to upkeep a standard house. You obviously don't know how much it costs to upkeep the equivalent of ten 200 year old houses.
Tldr: big old houses take a lottery win every year to upkeep.

There are plenty of highrise penthouses in the US at semi-reasonable prices (if you're fixated on new york or chicago then tough luck finding 10 million). Still, you'll probably want a salary of 150,000 per year minimum if you want to grab one on a 30 year loan.

you literally cant heat all of it, s'not (and never was) practical. rich cunts would huddle in one room with a fireplace, then grab a blanket and make a run for their bedroom whenever they were feeling brave. The problem is with pipes and shit. You would generally only heat one part of the building, and shut off the water etc. to the rest. BUT if you forgot to do this, or it turned freezing suddenly, you are in for a world of pain and expense from burst pipes etc.

After I make it I'm actually going to build a 'castle' out of those 5ft concrete construction blocks and sip panals, using a forklift to assemble.

Wait till you see the upkeep expenses and taxes. Easily into the six figures per year just to keep it up as is and not have the government confiscate it assuming nothing major needs to be fixed.
