they have a high turnover rate
it's like turning yourself into a robot, you have this script you've memorized that includes reponses to everything the potential customer might say. it all becomes so automated that your brain actually turns off and you become a sales zombie. you fade out of consciousness but keeping making sales. it crushes your humanity. you end up reciting the sales script in your dreams. thoughts become cloudy and your energy is sucked right out of you. worst boredom of your life. also at first you feel guilty hassling people over the phone, interrupting their day to sell them bullshit scams they don't need. but it gets worse when you stop feeling the guilt, you lose your empathy and start hating everyone who actually buys the product. talking to dumb fucks all day you lose faith in humanity, how incredibly stupid the average person is. but other then that sure its alright

Phones scare the shit out of me, every time the phone rings at my work I get anxiety. I can't talk to people unless I see their body language, yes I'm autistic and no writing is different for some reason (maybe the delay).

Bro jeetz are the biggest scams. I'm in tech and we source to jeetz. They put 8h estimates on 10 min task.
Idk how management even puts up with that....

I'm exactly the same anon but I worked at a call center for a political group once and I just stared at their script. Frantically made my own edits underlined words and practiced I'm my head for 20 mins. Then I made the first call and it went horribly then the second. But by the tenth call I was fine and it's not that bad. It definitely takes getting used to tho

Limit your exposure to these types of jobs. They will do nothing for you. If you're literally out here in these streets and need cash now, go for it, but otherwise pretty much any other job would be better.
