This is not some nothingburger. A share-dividend has the effect of injecting fatal levels of leverage into potential short position. It is a literal death sentence. It is like a defense mechanism of a plant to release toxins when it is being eaten by a predator. They tried to short us, they refused to vacate the systemic-short position and now they are dead. They were extremely short and now they are many multiples shorter than before the release. They are the walking dead.
If there was no systemic-short position, why wouldn't wallstreet jump on the band wagon?
Nothing makes sense without the short thesis. And just like anyone in a life threatening situation, they will struggle, they will get mad, they will cry, they will stamp their little feet about how it's not fair and the mean ol' longs are responsible for their problems. But none of it matters. The only way out is through bankruptcy. The only way out is to go to jail or suicide. I would prefer to kick the can for as long as possible if I were the walking dead and that was my fate. There is no way they can escape. They can't just wreck the car and then exit stage left with their billions. The whole world is watching and millions upon millions of people are dependent on this system sustaining itself. And these people are FUCKING PISSED that they went and got caught. Because all of the legal protections are on our side. They did it anyway.They took on infinite risk and now they owe infinite money. It's not our fucking problem. Everyone knew this could happen and they all let the grift go on anyway. Time to clean it up.
