A safety razor is basically no different than a normal razor and learning to use it is extremely simple. Takes about 1 week of regular use to master it. I shave my balls with a safety razor, that's how easy it is.

Vehicles are an easy way that most people could reduce costs. Rather than perpetually spending hundreds of dollars every month on debt and insurance for them, simply getting an older car would save a ton of money. The pennies spent on toothpaste are a drop in the ocean compared to that.

I type on an IBM Model M that's two years older than I am. And I'm 31.

Back in 2014 I bought like a dozen of them, untested and sometimes missing keys caps, for around $50 each. I used a program to test whether each key still works and then used key caps from the faulty ones to replace missing keycaps on the working ones. Then I washed the keycaps and faceplates in the dishwasher. Finally I sold five fully tested/working keyboards on Ebay for $120 each to make my money back, and kept the other five fully working ones for myself and as gifts for friends and family.

Riding my motorbike to work saves me about $9 per day compared to catching the train. (From memory, it's been quite a while since I checked)

I could go on. When my wife and I applied for a mortgage we had to literally double our claimed living expenses for the bank to even believe us, but we originally just calculated it by adding up every single outgoing expense over a 12 month period. Growing up poor made me incredibly stingy, and now I barely even know what to do with our combined income of well over $200k other than just buying Chainlink and putting the rest in our offset account.

It depends on your fuel situation. If it's more important to you that you conserve fuel, it's a good option.
Honestly it's mostly for camping. You can get smaller ones and it's a good for people who want a hot lunch after a long commute. But it's definitely not lukewarm, this isn't a regular thermos.
You can also make thermal ovens at home but that seems to me like a bigger pain then it's worth.

The problem with a lot of the standard "frugal lifestyle" products is that the potential savings are negligible. You are pretending like you are doing something to improve your financial situation to feel better about yourself but you haven't done the math. It is necessary to prioritize which parts of your budget to put effort into based on their relative impact on that budget.

You can buy a tube of toothpaste for one dollar and make it last six months, perfectly squeezing it will only save you ten cents a year. The small amount of thought and effort put into that ten cents has an opportunity cost, and guess what it's worth more than that.

Based actual savings of personal time and not ordering takeout. Easily can amount to thousands annually because people tend to waste that much. Only caveat being that just buying it and not actually using it all the time is the same as the above, pure cope.

In general though you don't save money by buying products, you save money by refusing to spend it when doing so won't kill you. I will never buy a new car. I keep the thermostat down. I will never pay for media and always pirate everything. I repair my own clothing and get anything new at a thrift shop for under $5. I cook all my food, keep bulk dry goods obtained from a restaurant supply store, and am mindful of calorie/dollar ratio while shopping. I use the internet for info when I need to repair or update my plumbing etc. instead of hiring a contractor. This is the shit that saves real money.
