85% of retail investors have lost money on crypto

Investing for profits clearly isn't working

What are the best reasons for investing in crypto that don't involve making money?

Investing is really simple:
Grab 1000$, a realiable trading strategy and start trading.
If you lose 50% of the capital, just start doing the opposite what what you just did with the first initial 1000$.

Yes you fucking idiot. Cryptocurrencies are meant to be CURRENCIES. Anything trying to be something other than a currency is a scam. Anyone buying crypto as an "investment" deserves the rope. Anyone fixated on price over achieving a maximally good decentralized p2p currency deserves the rope. The goal is to recreate and improve on physical cash in an electronic form to prevent censorship and inflation, not to make those who invest early rich.

Fuck all price speculators for subverting the discussion into an investment scheme.

this is a fairly low iq perspective
most smart people don't invest to make money, because making money is trivial when you're smart
they invest in ventures they believe will produce positive changes, whether for themselves or for the world

That's called humblebragging. If money is so trivial, why keep it? Give it away to those who need it. Directly, into their hands.
>uh no.. I'd better invest it in this project that will help to better the lives of many others. Yeah, the fact that I'll get juicy returns for my investment is completely irrelevant.
Since when is hypocrisy high IQ? BTW entrepeneurship has been here since the XVIII century and the world's problems have only gotten worse. Yeah, we have cars, skyscrapers, medical infrastructure and whatnot and yet people are less happy than ever. Maybe people should stop investing in
>ventures they believe will produce positive changes, whether for themselves or for the world
and start actually caring about others, and doing it directly, face to face and hand to hand, not through some 'visionary project'. Or are you going to tell me that happiness is irrelevant too?

What is 'stuff that has value to the world' supposed to mean, you imbecile? Stop trying to put a price tag on air, you twat. Most of the
>'sTuFf tHaT HaS VaLuE To tHe wOrLd'
is actually invaluable. Forcing monetary value into it only makes it less valuable. I want to see how your 'ventures that produce positive changes' are going to provide clean air, food or water to the people that need it the most instead of syphoning it right into the mouths of their providers (i.e. investors). You're an absolute moron if you think investing is not 100% about getting more value in return.

Investing.... making money....
Don't think of it as an investment, take it as an opportunity to learn about the tech. I don't see anyone describing blockchain as accounting software, I don't think many understand it. Get crypto to bypass the banks. Get crypto to circumvent government sanctions. Get crypto to use it and happen to hold some long term while you are at it.
