Newfag here. Will anyone be able to run a chainlink node in the future if he has some info to share? How much link is required to have a node? Will it be only for large corporations or also for smaller companies?
>>52634291It already did… as poc with swiftIt’s literally nothing
>>52634249In the interest of full transparency I'll have to stop these threads after this oneAs one might expect, I'm slated to be involved in a project with ties to ChainlinkI've always been clear that I am not an insider, but once that changes I won't be posting these kinds of threads out of respect for the teamI've enjoyed the other threads we've had here about topics related to life likeForming meaningful relationshipsHow to use money to get success with womenand othersSo I'd be happy to continue with those threads going forward
>>52634249Why didn't they code a fixed withdrawal date into their staking contract, instead asking investors to trust them? Isn't that the whole point of truth over trust?
>>52634285I'm looking forward to filling my allocation for early staking since I don't need access to those assets for at least two yearsI'm looking forward to linkpools vLink/Link liquid staking to hopefully get most of my Link returning staking rewardsAnd I'm looking forward to increased volumes on link dex pairs related to the above which will provide another source of passive incomeI'm also very much looking forward to CCIP and the new high frequency low gas print price feedsBoth of which are almost all profit for nodes
>>52634249You will never be a real anon. You have no bants, you have no original ideas, you have no memes. You are a homosexual man twisted by fat- and sergeyposting into a crude mockery of nature’s perfection. All the (yous) you get are ironic and half-hearted. To your face and behind your hunchback people mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “friends” laugh at your professional Chainlink shilling career behind closed doors.Anons, jannies, and even other glowniggers on the board are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed anons to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even paid WEF shills who regularly post here come off as uncanny and unnatural to anons. Your post structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a naive anon to take the bait, he’ll turn tail and bolt the second he sees the WEF agendas and the buzzwords were not a one off.You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile through gritted teeth every single time you type “$1000 EOY, Token is needed, CCIP, WTFWT and When Staking” and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, that you don’t actually mean it, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight. This is your fate linkie. There is no going back.
>>52634291It is already in private testnets with synthetics and presumably swiftListening to Lorenz it seems doubtful that a public beta will be available this year, but it looks like the area that is being most actively developed

Thanks anon, have a nice day
>>52634310They likely did this for two reasons1. It would have added additinal coding and testing overhead which would have pushed staking out past 2022And2. They are a team with legacy finance ties. In old finance the notion of a large one time asset unlock is generally frowned upon and unlocks of vested assets are generally done in a graded manner to allow for smooth price action. I would guess they'll enforce that with unstaking in a FIFO kind of orderThey also have cover from the eth foundation doing the same, so they may have done it so they can say "we're going about this in the industry standard manner"And to be clear, I'm not supporting or opposing this, just giving the reasons I see as most logical behind the decision
What do you think will happen with this current v0.1 Chainlink staking pool when actual staking goes live in about 2 years? Will anons just have to withdraw and stake with third party services or will it continue operating in some form?

I think it’s wildly unsafe to deposit a token into a smart contract that has just come out. Generally you want to wait a couple of months before a level of trust can be established. Plus with a ~2 year lock-up forcing you to wait. Literally anything could happen, war, hospitalization of a family member or yourself, being laid off, etc… you have no access to those funds. Anons say that it’s money they’re okay with losing but we all know that’s false. Truth over Trust and I trust no-one in crypto, I’ll wait till I can make my own node and deposit and withdraw whenever I feel like.

>>52634771f( ) = eth validatorsbut DONs can be interchangeable with validators as f( currently it seems arbitrum implementations are headed this way ) DONs generalize the trustless property of blockchain consensus to validate things beyond block contents, but logic follows that they can also validate block contents (a subset of addressable data for DONs). Not related:Picrel misleads math anons because the implication is that f( f( f(x))) = state at time T + 3which implies validation can be extrapolated into the future. More accurately validation is a function of current state and new txs:f( x , y_T) where y_T are new transactions at time T, that is used to update the current state.

LINK tokens only exist on the ethereum network, despite being "blockchain agnostic", right anon?I have spent the last 3-4 years learning everything about LINK (minus the level-0 first question apparently) and I've tried to contrast and compare that what else exists in the cryptosphere. LINK seems like an investment of a lifetime, but simultaneously the price action derives from the lowest echelons. Are we that far ahead or are we delusional retards? I've never been more gaslit in my life, honestly speaking. This recent range bound relative strength to btc does give me minimal hope, however. I've held the untested personal theory that LINK is going to 5-10x sometime deep in the bear to price out the plebs. >>52635787This, the largest flaw in the schizos "youre not meant to have this" theory is the garbage price action, if this token really was some kingmade 4IR amazon tier investment which was guaranteed to reach 81k eoy, then the price would of never gotten this low, literally all the insiders and elites would frontrun each other and buy up all the link. >>52634249Thank you for all of your work over the years. My question is: What mechanisms are in place to disincentivize investors from front-running the v.01 unlock and crashing the token price? >>52637269Anon, for staking to work, people have to pay for the services. It took years for people to understand why oracles were important in the DeFi space, let alone its importance in general, and Chainlink was subsidizing node operations the majority of the time. To add staking on top of all this, you're adding costs for a system that just wasn't ready for it. And do remember that Chainlink and a small group of collaborators were also subsidizing price feeds so everyone could use it for free.>>52637270At the time, not enough people were using the network, correct. Good afternoon everyone at /biz I'm a longtime lurker and hardly ever post but I do enjoy watching people here and always have been interested in investing, unfortunatly my life hasn't allowed me access to enough funds to do anything serious, I'm a long time Christian although my faith gets tested a lot but I also believe everything I've done has lead me to the place I am today and finding biz as well.Besides all the scamming going on with the indian coins there has been plenty of good advice here I've learned and seen many of you help eachother in various ways, it has softened some of my harder edges knowing the same people I thought to be inconsiderate and only horde their wealth have shown me that prejudice just isn't true, I don't enjoy the shame that comes from asking for a hand up and It is usually met with pretty upset results but I also know the intention is what is matters and people can tell who is being sincere versus who is being dishonest.I'd give you a sob story but that would take longer than a simple QRD to really explain but to say the least I've walked a path most wouldn't dare wish upon their worst enemies.I honestly hope you all have a good holiday with your family, God bless you all and your future God is still in my heart and my life and I hope he remains in yours as well whoever reads this.0xd07Cd512c0Be08F0e58EA29D599198Ea2De07F56

Staking really is the next chapter and perhaps overdue, but definitely good>>52638454I think thisEspecially if staking is the only way for retail to access equity in very high quality projects and that induces a fomo-proof cycle>>52638746Early access staking is full reward, but illiquid until unlocking is releasedLiquid staking is staking reward minus lpl feeWhich is why I'm surprised link left this value capture portion to linkpool>>52638802This>>52639045It is proportional ownership and value capture of a network more valuable than the internet>>52639243Yes, you likely wont be able to access early access staking or lpl liquid staking without l1 eth based link>>52639245A group of people with the main brains/work done by Hal Finneymay he rest in peace>>52639585I dont shill anything but link in these threads, but since it's my last thread what the hell:

Why are link fudders always so much angrier than shills?Holders are the ones who are down 10x vs ETH, and we’re in the middle of a bear market with black swans happening every week. You’d think the fudders would all be happy and upbeat, this is as good as it gets for them. Instead they seem so hateful and upset. If you can’t be a happy fudder now, then when?
>>52640797 Chainlink isn't American and is registered inbthe Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory anyway. Why would they need British Linkpool to shield them?
Another link cope thread where people move the goalposts. 2022 bro! $1000 eoy was just a joke huhhuh
>>52644143Thanks for more fud. It motivates me to buy more linkAnd thanks OP. Good stuff
>>52643974Because Sergey and multiple members of his team lives in Jew York which can be used as an attack vector.Having a second separate company take care of staking removes all risks from the Chainlink company. If the SEC mafia tries to go after Chainlink for staking they will be able to deflect everything completely saying they were not responsible for it.The reason for the community alerting was both to secure the network and to make it an active investment. There are too many issues when you try to do something with the US mafia.Staking is also completely different from L1 staking because it relies on nodes providing a real value as a network.Linkpool is the perfect company to solve this staking problem because it is one of the oldest node providers with close connections to the Chainlink team, run by honest white and not jewish people. What I really want to see now is signs of the future adoption with tokenized assets and all the new features being tested with new use cases in a beta version.
>>52644143it's paid twitter ambassadors, that's their job
>>52644236how much are they paying you to fud? because it works well as an ad for link each time. Should be worth something

>>52644389
>>52634931I have been thinking about this a bunch. I think it works out for a certain subset of PoS L1s, where Eth is included.I don’t think Chainlink could take over creating Bitcoin blocks, simply because PoW > PoS and we just definitely need PoW for the base SoV layer.Chainlink also couldn’t take over running ICP canisters, simply because the Chainlink protocol is nowhere near as efficient for doing so compared to ICP itself. But for Ethereum, now that it is PoS, using Chainlink nodes to decide on new blocks seems like a much better, more robust, scalable and efficient idea than the current setup with builders and validators. Also, it would probably be easier to move these Chainlink nodes over to running in canisters in ICP than all of Ethereum, making the transition from running on AWS to having a fully decentralized stack from hardware to frontend faster.

Gun to your head, you must give an answer: What year will LINK reach the fabled $1K?
>>526446272029 checkum
thanks spoon. Godspeed
>>526446272024
single 1(one) LINK token holder why am i not a trillionaire yet
>>52644714Good, it's not 2029.I am guessing next year, 2023, honestly. And I've been around since 2017. Not that my time really matters, I guess. But curious what OP says, if he's still around.
It would be interesting to create a prediction market for the, also fabled, singularity. How many schizos would make it purely based on a win in that market, assuming it has low odds of occurring?
>>52644809I think it’ll be a year after ccip comes out, which is hopefully next year. The thing to remember is that by 2030, Link is going to be so essential and valuable that even having 100 will make you a millionaire.
>>52643882they are mostly link holders themselves that went mental. they had too high expectations and too little experience. if you have any experience of investing in startups chainlink has been a good investment. but they want to compare link to all the scams in crypto that pumped more. also they still cant figure out why chainlink has this gradual approach with mainnet and staking launch.
>>52643882It really is an interesting phenomenon; they seem to get angrier the lower Link's price is.>>52644933>they are mostly link holders themselves that went mentalThere might be some truth to this; they fudded Link for fun and now that the effects of their fud are clear for all to see, so they blame everyone else rather than face the consequences of their actions.
>>52645003Man those fudders sure do have a lot of power, singlehandly holding the price of Link down against 400+ of the top developers from Facebook, Google, Microsoft etc etc. They must be gigachads.
>>52645092If you think turbospamming tedious fud every day for years is "gigachad", then sure.
