should i just buy a mobile home?

>have no friends
>will never have a wife or anything
>just want peace and quiet

do i really need anything bigger than this? you can get them with a plot of land around 100k in the middle of nowhere. american houses are a joke anyway.

Be careful with this. It’s a good idea anon. There are some predatory trailer park companies though. You can buy the trailer and own it, but they will not sell you the “foundation” of land due to some legal Jewry. Then they can charge a monthly fee to park “your” legally owned trailer on “their” plot. Aka rent. Just make sure you own the land that the trailer is on or make sure they don’t fuck you in any contract. But yea having a nice trailer in a nice little piece of nature could be pretty comfy. I’ve thought about it myself.

Just to warn you they are cold, damp at night, and shake in the wind. Even when you spend a bit of money on them. There is a reason homes are nailed to the ground

yeah this is the reason why I haven't done it yet. Looking at rural towns you can get a house with the land for the same as just buying the land and putting a trailer on it. In the cities their all trailer parks with crazy high lot fees where it doesn't make sense to me to pay that amount per month

the newer ones seem fine. my friends always lived in one and it’s really easy to keep warm and maintain.

Oh fair enough. Do you live somewhere that experiences cold winters?

I stayed in one recently that wasnt new, but had been refurbished and insulated. I couldnt sleep because it was so cold, could see condensation when I breathed and there was heavy moisture on the inside of the windows next morning. Put me off for life

yes freezing cold. feet of snow, freezing winds, negative temps.

Yea. There was actually a good VICE segment on this which is how I found out about it. These lot companies are predatory and only care about their profit margins.

yes, a manufactured home on concrete on land you own in a low tax red state is the most high IQ chad way to escape rent slavery

it'll be fine if that's what you want. presumably you could sell it later if your plans change.
i wouldn't worry about it too much.
seriously, just do it if it's what you think is the right thing for you. honestly, it sounds pretty comfy, as long as it's not going to be in a "bad neighborhood"
i bought an old house for cheap in a flyover state and I'm happy as can be. shit the way it is you dont wanna be too close to a dense heavy populated big city
do it op. do it.

this only if you're buying the land with it.
renting or leasing a "space" to place a mobile or manufactured home you bought is a bad idea. never do it like that. never.
get a place with your own land

Not sure about mobile, but small home seems good:
> cheap, can get out of mortgage much quicker
> less heating expenses
> less cleaning
> easier to build, smaller chance that building crew will screw something up
The home I will be building will have 2 bedrooms (1 for guest as a cope, I have no friends), 1 big bathroom, dayroom with kitchen annex, garage + room with utilities. Single floor too. It's all I need really.

From reading around, the walls are concrete. Unironically better than new houses that use pressed woods
