Yeah, current approach seems to be feeding more and more data into the models just so that they have more things to reproduce. Good example is AI that writes stories for you.
Might as well write an algorithm that does it for you, also using existing book excerpts as a data source like current AI models do. Noone ever did that though because there was never a monetary incentive to do that. But because current solutions are based on AI, they lure in investors. Kinda smells like dotcom bubble.

what do you do if your problem is that you love the aethetic of beautiful women and have an instinctual need to fuck them until you cum inside them, but at the same time you know how terrible women are especially in modern western society and hate women so much it's unreal? like, i seriously don't get why any man would want to be around a woman 24/7 and live with them, like they're just there, around you, all the time, being a woman. and you just have to deal with that shit, all the time. never ending. now you're married to one and you have a financial obligation to stay with them even if they're a bitch, even if they stop having sex with you and start gaining weight. seems like hell.

i guess my point is, it's sorta like that old adage: "You don't pay a woman to have sex with you, you pay them to leave afterwards." I wish they'd just legalize and regulate prostitution already on the federal level in the US. or at least make sex bots. the question really just feels like how do you get the experience of sex with a loving woman (or the closest thing to simulating that) without actually having to deal with women themselves, who are awful human beings i typically never want to be around? do you know what i mean?

Nowadays I don't take it too seriously man. If you didn't find one and lock it down when you were young it's just a bunch of parasites that want some or your money/status/entertainment in exchange for renting their holes. I just coom and try not to dwell on it too much.

isn't that a failing gameplan, though? isn't everyone pulling out of China now and will only continue to do so because no one trusts them and everyone honestly just hates them at this point? same deal with Russia. both Covid and the Ukraine war were major wake-up calls to the rest of the world, as far as i can see. people are making their own shit more and more, "Reshoring" is now a thing. Many companies are moving their shit to other asian countries and building new factories elsewhere. On top of this, China's population is in decline is gets more expensive every year. they're not the super cheap labor that they used to be nowadays. once their current population gets old and the demographic collapse really rapes them, they're basically done as a country. idk what happens after that, but i assure you they're completely fucked at this point due to demographic collapse alone from the one child policy, and that's not even getting into all of the other major problems they have (i could post some videos if you're interested).

i just hope i live long enough to see China's and Russia's chickens come home to roost. Hell even in the US, the pendulum is swinging the other way from chaos back to order. Hopefully that resolves itself peacefully and doesn't result in civil war, but SOMETHING is gonna happen as the pushback against the woke shit just gets louder and louder. They fucked around and now we're in the "find out" phase.

Around month ago Powel said that people have biggest savings ever, when single look at Personal Saving Rate, published on St. Louis Fed website shows clearly that opposite is true. assuming the fed actually protects the dollar eventually bond yields and dividends will start to beat inflation even as the stock market gets completely crunched
The total lack of risk free yield since 2009 is one of the main reasons the stock market pumped so fucking hard. Instead of holding bonds (which produced negative yields) investors have just been dumping everything into index funds.

The counter point to that is that people who invest in dividend stocks always get returns, while you can expect 0 retuns from your speculative stock if it's price drops to original value in 10 years.
This is effect is especially strengthened by the fact that speculative stocks often get overpriced. People price in future earnings, and when it turns out that we have difficult times ahead, those assumptions must be priced out resulting in sharp drop in value. Dividend stocks on the other hand are judged also based on dividend yield and payout ratio, which help with estimating reasonable valuation, and thus make it harder for such stock to become overpriced.
It's comfy way of investing, but I wouldn't expect 100% every 5 years doing this.

A lot of people failed to mention this:
You have to pay taxes which prevents compounding. If the company's return on assets is 20%, and it can reinvest new cash at 20%, you get n*1.2^x where n is the amount of capital invested and x is the amount of years compounded. When you pay (let's say 20%) taxes, your after-tax compounded return is 20*0.8=16%. Therefore dividends are bad, unless you're a net seller of equity and dividends are taxed equally or less than the sale of the equity.

The first lesson of making it in this crab market is: don't be optimistic, and don't be pessimistic either. If things just went up for a while and current price minus sma200 is relatively high, don't buy, maybe short, if it's low, don't short, maybe buy. It's hard to swing such a market, but if you wait long enough you get to points where things are back to being fairly high (like when SPX > 4000) or fairly low (like when SPX < 3600) which can be good opportunities to take advantage of the crabbing.

While that may be true for the US, dividends are taxed differently worldwide. My point is that non-dividend paying companies tend to reinvest capital at an attractive rate or buy back stock to leverage the current business at a fair price. By doing this, shareholders defer the taxes they owe on profits which means they can compound these untaxed profits at a higher rate.

I was thinking about this.. longterm it should be a boon for chevron to outperform competitors but short term all of oil is going down. The valuation of oil companies is all based on Jewish lies of some type of oil squeeze and reserves depletion that was going to push oil to hundreds of dollars a barrel which was just Jewish lies and scams like usual. Oil continues to become cheaper. Venezuela pumping will drop the price, Russia shit will end eventually and Saudis will have to compete with Venezuela cheapies. Oil is down from 93 a barrel to 76 and falling and oil stocks are still crabbing all time highs. If I owned oil stocks I would be taking profits

higher risk yields can be around 10% right now so 1 mil would net 100k, like going all in JEPI
but your gains will be retarded by losses on the shares during the bear market
same issue with dividend stocks in general, they either crab or are gonna get rekt in the recession, depending on the stock you could easily make a net loss
risk free yields are around 5% like 6month treasuries and AA corporate bonds.

So 100k except not really because your principal is likely to decline, or around 50k except inflation is technically eating almost all of that gain

It'll get better in a year or two and it was way worse last year, but yeah.

I remember one anon who was sure that it's the end of the Oil when it dropped from $85 to $65 last year. Damn was he wrong. You're missing lots of things about it, i.e. the fact that Opec countries are now cooperating with BRICS (Belt and Road Initiative goes through all of Opec countries and Saudis are already cooperating with BRICS).
It's not just matter of speculation, but continuation of price wars.
Also, I wouldn't expect new exploration projects looking for Oil. Western policies want to get rid of Oil in 10 years. That's about the time for Oil drill site to repay for itself and start making profits. Oil will be becoming more scarce, not abundant in my opinion.
I wouldn't make a mistake of judging the oil demand just based on travel too. Majority of it goes towards transport (around 65% from what I recall) while the rest goes into manufacturing.

In the end, I don't know how the price will behave, all commodities are very volatile and slightest retarded news can move them in any direction. I just think you're oversimplifying the subject by blaming it on Jews.

its 30k for the iseries bonds which were like 9% but have gone down to 6+% so honestly they are hardly worth discussing considering you can't redeem it for 12 months, and if you redeem before 30 years you lose 3 months of the interest
so if you buy a 6% ibond right now you are missing out on comparable or slightly higher yields with fewer asterisks. I expect treasuries to be outperforming those i bonds by next year as inflation declines and yields continue to rise

JEPI is an ETF with pretty good yields
it holds SPY and sells covered calls, which is a really great strategy in bear markets like this where it's just slow bleeding forever.
JEPI's share price will go down but the yield has more than made up for it this year and I expect that to continue. Although considering inflation real returns are probably still net negative after you consider the share price decline. Like I said the yield situation is pretty bad right now but it is improving.

Okay so first of all nice job on having an emergency fund. I'm assuming you are just holding that in your checking account. Make sure your bank is giving you a good return on that. Most of them are like 2% but some banks will screw you over with the APY. Either way, holding this emergency fund is already fucking amazing.

Second thing you need to do is read what the bogleheads say. They have a fantastic forum and community which would love to help you.

You are new to investing. You could spend a lot of time trying to research what good stocks are. You also could just pay someone money to do it. Or you can just buy everything. I'm serious. Bogleheads follow the philosophy of "don't try and find the needle in the haystack, just buy the whole haystack". You want to invest that $20,000 into passive index fund that includes the entire american and international stock market.

Ideally you should be trying to take advantage of retirement savings, mostly your Roth ira. You and your wife will have a $13,000 yearly limit, but any money put into this is forever tax free. Hence why the government limits it to $6500 per person. And sometimes employers will even match your investments.

That comes out to about $1000 per month if you want to start maxing this every year, which I heavily suggest you do. Most people can't have the discipline to pull it off. Now if you want to start doing that AS WELL as invest this lump sum of $20k, then you just open a brokerage account. Fidelity tends to be the best one, that I use, because they have no fees on literally anything and great customer support.

Now what do you want to buy? Again, you're young so stocks. VTI is a very inexpensive ETF that covers the entire American stock market. And VXUS covers all international investment.
