Hello fellow stackers. While researching something else I discovered a historical callout from a most based employer; Rohr Inc.
In December of 1954, to show the local community how much his company contributed to the local economy he paid his entire workforce in silver coins. 12 tons worth.
$362,000 worth of silver dollars.

If you don't think every single post here is cataloged and ran through author detection/matching ML program to link different threads/boards/posts to the same human,
If you don't think every single image here is saved, sent through ML/OCR filters, and the text from the OCR also being sent through every sort of identification, cross referencing, and tagging,
then I have an imageboard to sell you
This tech is ridiculously cheap, esp. when you factor both the notoriety 4chan has, and the relatively limited data throughput.
It's very realistic at this point that they're automatically pulling fingerprints from high-res photos posted on this site, and cross referencing those against ML algorithms and large datasets (something ML would actually be very good at is fingerprint identification, once sufficiently cleaned).
Absolutely anything you post here with a serial number, is automatically getting that serial number read, the image being tagged with that text data, and future images of the same serial number automatically being cross referenced. Every text post you make is both analyzed to determine who you are, and fed back into your own private ML model to further refine your own detection in the future. This post, and myself, included.
It's likely that the userbase of 4chan is so small that censoring the serials is no help because they can identify us by camera model, which bullion/guns/whatever else we're posting, whitebalance point, camera noise, etc.

If this were facebook or reddit or twitter I'd say yeah there's too much noise, too much data, too much processing to deal with it all. But 4chan is a notorious website, has a notorious userbase, a relatively small userbase, and the amount of data posted here, perhaps excepting /b/, could have all the above processed on a consumer grade server, with intern-level engineers overseeing it, pretty easily. We're really fish jumping into our own bucket here, but it's also the only bucket we're allowed in.

Guess what, the NSA has a facility where all Internet metadata is logged. And the various FAGMAN web tracking scripts are also logging stuff, including your behavior, like for example how long you stay on a page, how you move your mouse or type, etc. And if you have a cellphone, there's tons more stuff being tracked there, like for starters there's a record of everywhere you go. Microsoft even scans your HDD and tracks what you got on there. You have no fucking clue how much they care.

This was admitted back in 2013 iirc.
Everything is 10x worse now. Glowies and the deep state have absolute control over anything digital. This is their only way to have complete control over the masses on a micro-management level, so ofc they are hellbent into this.

Yeah, it's absolutely insane the amount of data collection we do just at the browser javascript level. If you go to a social media page (facebook, instagram, twitter), they know
>how long you were scrolling through your feed
>which individual posts made you pause, slow down, or stop your scrolling
>every individual click is logged. In some cases EVERY - even the ones on a blank section of the site with no link
>Everything you see, how long you spent on the site, what you type even if you don't send, it's all not only logged, it's used to build a more complete profile of your personality.

You can scroll your instagram feed, if you have one, until you see that old friend or ex or whatever you haven't interacted with a bit. Pause for a brief moment. Then continue scrolling on
>the algorithm that chooses what to show you to optimize for clicks now knows that you miss this person.
>you will now see more posts from them to increase your engagement on the platform.
>the glows now have that same knowledge, and likely even more, and know that you miss this person
>the glows then analyze that person's profile to try to gauge what it is you and they bond over
>this isn't even the tip of the iceberg, it's the cold air above it.

On an unrelated news, scrapanon will be proud of me, as i probably made the best deal ever thanks to the generosity of a very pro seller on ebay.

Got those 4 silverware (.950 purity) pieces from the early 1800s for a whooping 0€, shipping included. Totalling approx 10oz.
Full story is i bought a big lot of supposed silverware from a boomer on ebay, but it turned out almost everything was electroplated, but for those 4 pieces. As an excuse he proposed me to return him by mail all the trash minus the silver i could keep for free, and refunded me entirely.
Such a great dude, thanks Manu! Wish everybody was this courteous and pro, the world would be such a wonderful place. I feel blessed by the Gods today!

OK, schizoid theory here:

Your bullion dealer probably has a mapping between your serial number and your name and address if you buy online. Since its online, it probably has a backdoor that FBI can access. A bad actor can probably use the same to get details about you. Now, he'll probably know how much you bought from that vendor and target your house address. In summary, OPSEC is very important and its best not to post anything that can be linked back to you. People on 4chan have to be strong in OPSEC IMO.

For the digital tracking worry, I bought my first 4 silver ounce bars from a local dealer in a local town and he didn’t even print a receipt or anything. It was my first time buying and I was surprised and relieved how no private info was recorded and he simply gave me these four bars and took my 100 dollar bill. I honestly feel safe using him as there’s absolutely nothing recorded. Planning on spending 10 percent of my paycheck every month from now on there. He was pretty cool too and told me to disregard the Silver Eagles because they’re overpriced. Cool old guy.

I keep on having the idea of using copper rounds post SHTF to buy small purchases such as a meal from whatever barter economy will start back up while using my silver for only medium to large scale purchases. I know 99¢ for a ounce of copper is way over market price but I’m just thinking of post collapse small time purchases where people no longer use greenbacks but would accept copper. Can a fren help me identify this ring? A local boomie (France) is selling it on ebay. It's in sterling silver. Claims it's probably from WW1 or WW2. Is it a legit officers' ring? Is the date matching? Is the price matching it's value on the secondary market?
I couldn't find a similar one doing a quick jewgle search.

Err on the side of caution that the ENTIRE SYSTEM wants to preserve itself. Silver supply could be easy enough to come by if they think it can get them a few more years. Or it could all be over soon, who knows. Keep stacking and don't be surprised if shit carries on longer than expected.

Yes I am proud, good job frogbro. My latest haul of any note was this past saturday, $3.59 total for 6.14 ozt asw, then a few days ago I got a sterling cuff bracelet weighing 14g for $4.24, half of melt and a nice designer piece but not really exciting. Heavy early silver forks are hard to find in decent shape, if they're not monogrammed or custom engraved they may be worth a bit over melt. I bet Napoleon I era and earlier silver is desirable, it would be pretty badass to have and use a table setting made back when he was steamrolling plebs across Europe. Do you know more details about how old the forks are and who made them?

I'm glad that what might have been a costly learning experience turned into an ideal situation and 10oz of free silver, now you have more hands-on experience with recognizing different plated items and a valuable lesson on verifying the presence of hallmarks in an auction listing and not buying things based only on a seller's claims, sellers say plated junk is good sterling or that good sterling is plated crap (my preferred type of listing of course) every day. You're already doing well but I promise you it gets much easier as your knowledge, experience and instincts get stronger and you discover highly efficient strategies. Low-IQ chuds like to claim that it's impossible to find cheapies regularly and with that attitude they never will, it certainly takes more effort and expertise than coomsooming silver from dealers so noobs who don't know what they're doing will find it frustrating or inefficient, but it absolutely can be done so keep it up fren. Also that ring looks like an official WW2 era US Army piece and was worn a lot, I assume it's genuine based on the appearance and think it's worth $40-50 but I don't know much about military insignia rings, the few I've gotten I've given to an old boomer collector who likewise gives me things I collect when he finds them.
