52425349 No.52425349 [Reply] [Original]

T-bills are giving almost 5% APY risk-free right now.
I'm planning on Tbill-maxing (in monthly ladders) every month from now until at least Q3 2033 and potentially dipping back into VSTAX depending on what macro looks like at that time.
Any tradeoffs with this strategy? Seems like the best place to park money other than a HYSA right now desu.
Before anyone says anything, yes I'm aware of Ibonds, yes I'm Ibonds-maxxing on top of that but I need somewhere to park money after I hit the $10k limit.

Physical goods.
I have been posting to by warehouse space and buy liquidations for nearly two years now.
Very few people listened.
Everything else is a crap shoot.
Buying brand new goods at 5-10% COST is a no brainer and you can do that literally all over.
You just need a place to put it.

Stupid plan. You have no guarantee of profit. Enjoy wasting energy, time and money.
>>52425349
I'm doing the same. Its solid plan. Gonna buy tbills till real estate is on fire sale. Then cash out enough to buy a decent house on a few acres.

This will be different for everyone and depends on what you think you can hustle the easiest later.
It's too late for holiday season stuff.
You are a little late over all but prices on liquidations will still be low for years and inflation will keep trucking.

Also depends on your cash situation.
You can get FULL truckloads of HomeGoods and HomeDepot goods now for $4,000 + shipping (sometimes lower).
Just have to look around. Auctions liquidating machine shops...
It's literally EVERYWHERE once you start looking.
I buy all sorts of shit because I have turned the warehouse into a kinda of "store" so people can look at what I've got and I just spitball pricing if they inquire to make a sale.
I have so little in everything that it's profit, just play the odds of who and where I can sell it.

Some stuff looks good and is cheap as fuck, but CAN'T BE SOLD because no one wants it.

>You have no guarantee of profit.
kek
I've made millions doing this retard.
If you buy a new guitar for $30. That's a guaranteed profit.
If you buy new drill and screw driver sets for $5.
That's a guaranteed profit.

I guess if you are so stupid you can't flip something you bought at 10% of cost then you just give up and buy tbills.
lmao

For anon's interested though.

There are sites like this https://bstock.com/ all over.
The best finds you will get after being in the game awhile because people will know you.
They'll talk because they all want to liquidate.
They'll say, "fuck I've got a truck load of coat hangers and I'm fucking tired of storing it" and then some other old boy will be like "hell I know someone might be able to move that" then the other old boy says "i'll let the whole truck go for $750 if they haul it away" on and on until you come over and bitch and moan about how you can't move that many coat hangers and "what would I do with them?" and fuck it I'll give you $500.

Then you scrap them or whatever.

You need space. Start with space. Start at Hibid.com which is an online estate sale. Most of that is crap, but you will start to get an idea of what pricing looks like at a local liquidation level, small scale.
If you have cash then look at truck loads, but you need a system of getting rid of it first too.
It takes time to get rolling.
But if you have some time and some cash to get you through the transition then you can just build up an inventory of non perishable goods while you do the rest of the operation.

>> No.52426026

>>52425981
Well I'm well into it for a very long time so I sell online mostly because I am in a rural area.
The rural area gives me a storage space advantage as it's very cheap to store large amounts of stuff.
That gives me a disadvantage on getting "walk in" people although I do get some and I'm working on more lately as I need to just spread out my net.

So lots to consider in that regard. You have to assess your situation.
Online reselling you need new goods usually to make a good amount of money although you can move things "as-is" pretty well. People actually love "as-is" deals as long as it's a real deal and the item is in decent condition.

The key is to buy very cheap. Find what you can buy very cheap. Low risk that way.
Not talking to you specifically, but "crypto" has ruined this board, along with a pumped up stock market, and the entire discussion is about get rich quick schemes and hopes.

This business will take you a long time to build but then will be a steady way to actually earn a living, DEAL IN CASH A LOT (obvious benefits are obvious), and make it long term.
Wade in and take on more as you go.

JEPI is better than t-bills for passive income. The only use for t-bills is a place to park your pre-tax gains for 1 or 3 month intervals before you have to file taxes in the next year.

>>52426059
If you have a registered business then you should not be paying tax when you buy on anything.
So...then it's up to you on the sell end. If the sale is to another business no tax either, a lot of my sales go that way.
I sell stuff "net" and figure it out later a lot of times.

I actually have never bought anything from that site. I just know it exists and is a good example of how cheap things get when you buy a truckload.
I've been tempted to spruce up my show room with a trailer load but never pulled the trigger.
I've been doing this a long time and people come to me. Haven't gone looking in years.

That's a good point. People avoid inflation by not buying inflated crap. Lucky for us Americans, we have so many consumer goods and shit that every other week stores are putting their non-moving inventory into deep clearance. Bullshit $50 sweatshirts for $15 and resell it for $20 = 33% gainz.
