I personally would buy them with the assumption they are good silver if the price is right. I don't recognize the marks but bet the unintelligible part above the "PA" in the larger upper stamps would be meaningful. They still look like .900 American coin silver to me but perhaps they're from some obscure pre-unification German state where standard hallmarks were never implemented or enforced. If they are continental European then the lowest purity they're likely to be is around "12 Loth" or .750 silver so calculate what you're willing to pay based on that. They're thin which is a good sign typical of silver alloy items and appear older than silver electroplating technology, and plated items were usually made thick and sturdy. Getting some nitric testing solution is definitely a good idea.

I bought mine when my state had tax on pms, there was a very small handful of dealers that wouldn't tax me. This option was still cheaper than paying tax. It's cool to have, but I'd rather just get a 50 or 100g bar now. I imagine if you kept it for years, the premiums would melt away, and sell price is going to be a bit more as it's a premium product.

As I understand it's the spread of results from elemental analysis of numerous different meteorites. Anyone here buy from Ainslie Bullion in Australia?

I feel like I am being scammed. I won't deal with them again. This is my 4th purchase from them and I am hoping that my previous purchases are real bullion.

They are trying to tell me they locked in different prices on th exchange and I suddenly owe more money. I paid in full and now they want more. I never got an official invoice asking how much to pay instead it was just an email from an employee. Now they are also claiming that if I don;t pay the outstanding shortly they will keep my deposit and forfeit the purchase.

So pls if you have purchased with them before let me know if you are confident it's real gold and silver.

Ignoring tax purposes, why buy coins or rounds when you can just get generic stamped ingots or blocks and not have to pay a numismatic premium?
And if you like it for the art aspect, then you're putting a collector's premium on it despite the base metal having value; if you go that route, just get old print graded paper money

You'll usually get spot for generic bars, coins they'll pay slightly more for at sell. Some coins like a wiener or roo carry little premium to a bar also. Depending on where you live, some coin shops have to hold non denominated bullion as "used goods" for 30 days, increasing the delta for them.

Silver is fucking worthless. It's literally dumped 90% since last year and won't stop any time soon. The thing about silver is that there's more than 100x as much in the ground as there is gold (which is also worthless), and its "industrial uses" are massively overrated because copper outclasses it for any conceivable use.

Silver is going to zero, you'll be able to get it for free off of craigslist soon enough if you're willing to go clean it out of dejected stackers' houses and transport it away. Furthermore, asteroid mining operations will be up and running by 2030 and they will QUADRUPLE the supply.

You also get part or even all of the premium back when you sell. The spread is also much lower, at least here in Yuropp. I can sell a lot of coins from the past few months back to the dealer for profit but my bars I'd have to sell directly to someone else.
Even the coins I just received have gone up so much while I was waiting for them to ship that the dealer buys them back for just a buck below what I paid. Next month it's already going to be profitable.

I bought that coin when premiums were much lower. It was actually one of my more expensive coins (29 euros) while the rest were around 24-27, except for a few others for 29-31 (barbados pelicans, anguilla regatta).

By spot price, it's 1:80, with premiums included it's 1:68. Both are way higher than the historical 1:15 and the current mining ratio of 1:8. It makes no sense to get gold at all at this ratio, however having the suicide stack of 1 ounce of gold and 100 ounces of silver is essential, you can put the rest in silver, or keep acquiring both at a high ratio like 1:100, 1:200, 1:500, etc.

The current ratio is practically 1:68. When it goes down to 1:8, 1:10, 1:15 or somewhere around that, I'll exchange all the silver for gold. If they start manipulating silver again and the ratio becomes 1:64 or more again, I'll exchange all my gold for silver again. And the cycle will keep repeating.
This wealth multiplier trick won't last too long, they either manipulate things until they go completely bankrupt and we become insanely rich or until the ratio stabilizes near the mining ratio so this trick won't work anymore.
In any case, it's going to be a big win for us and there's no way they can get around this anymore, we know they're tricks.
