saving for retirement is a meme. you literally never stop working. I see guys in their 70's and 80's working the register at my local grocery store every week.
the best way to retire is to have a bunch of kids, buy a house (pay it off) and when you get old, have your kids support you

This, it is VTI without all the junk; in addition, the dividend aristocrats are based on the SPX.

It's outperformed the VTI this year. But sure, don't buy if you're afraid that redditors will laugh at you.

I do 35% QQQ, 35% VTI, 10% XLU, 10% XLP, and 10% TQQQ

My portfolio stays at leveraged 25%-30%.

It's not so much about what redditors will think, I was referring to the fact that dividends are a forced sell off that reduces the share price by an equivalent amount as opposed to an actual gain in terms of a cash payout. It is akin to moving your money from one pocket to another whilst being taxed on the transfer. Correct me if I am wrong.

There is no better option. DCA is the best method because you get anaverage of the ups and downs. Too many faggots on here LARPing as some day trading gigachad. It's all bullshit.

Seems like the smartest option because QQQ is full of bullshit and won't perform well in this environment, and foreign stocks are at the whims of people like Xi

Leveraged funds you typically don't want to hold, but doing a backtest on TQQQ shows as long as you DCA'd in since the beginning of the fund, the only time you lost money was during the 2000 drop. In the last year obviously that is not the case, but it does seem to beg the question if it could be used as a beta enhancer long term, especially now when it is dirt cheap.
