The next big thing is cloud computing.

People will stop using typical computers and electronic devices as they will be forced by Amazon, Google and industry giants to buy "Multimedia Streaming Devices" with limited interactive capabilities only. Everything will be computed on the server side. The only current difficulty is low latency networks, so I would bet that extremely high speed networks will get a push first.

There is a reason why Amazon's data Center expansion plan is so aggressive. You are talking about a client side problem, which will not be the case once everything moves to the cloud. Users will never be able to even update their devices, it will be just like a TV with a mouse pointer. Zero complex software required. The cloud on the other hand will be in charge of only the greatest minds of all time. We are talking about a fully centralized electronics architecture, like old TV stations, but digital and interactive.

Wanna run the latest game at full res? No problem. Wanna crunch some numbers to make retarded frogs using machine learning? There you go.

Cloud gaming already works, I play games on game pass without even downloading them. At peak times it is a bit laggy, well it doesn't lag the screen sort of glitches. I'm currently playing through every game pass game until I get an achievement then if its shit I stop playing and 95% are absolute shit, some have been ported and they didn't even change the mouse/keyboard control icons.
