eth isnt dumping because of butthurt miners. your analysis is pure cope. eth is dumping because it is now worth far far less without miners. continue coping

Biden had a TERRIBLE “60 Minutes” show last night where he got cranky and mad at the interviewer for blaming inflation on the TRILLIONS of money that the Biden’s government printed.
Markets are down today, and there’s a Fed meeting on the 24th of September.
I’m considering liquidating my entire portfolio, and only buying in slowly each month over the next 12-18 months.
I can’t stand to see all of my money/wealth eroded after working so hard to save/invest.

>> No.51510837

>>51510813
it isn't 'printing money' that causes inflation and it isn't high interest rates that fix it.

inflation is always caused by an energy crisis, 2008 included.

Either way, that’s Biden’s fault too.
The US should’ve started building more nuclear power plants decades ago.

Ah Yes, the Great Weimar Energy Crisis of ‘21. Many a book be writ about it. The Jews were the coldest if I recall. Hitler warmed them up and that solved that inflation problem!

Literally basic economics. Printing more money causes inflation, especially if you paralyse the economy at the same time. If you disagree go and stake some shitcoin for 1,000,000% APR and get back to me.

'printing money' is what appears to be happening when the supply of goods and energy falls.

because there is now too much money for the amount of energy, goods and services available in the economy.

the only real solution is new supplies of affordable energy which was what happened in the 1980s, eventually. it wasn't Volcker's 20% interest rates that fixed the economy.

I don’t think this is the bottom.
It fucking sucks watching wealth be eroded away.
I know this is the “time to be buying”, but I don’t see any reason for the economy to improve under Biden. If anything it’s going to continue to get worse, Biden will blame Republicans in Congress somehow, morons will fall for it, and they’ll continue to vote for Democrats.

it isnt really wealth. if everyone had cashed in at the top and tried to spend the resulting 'money' it would only have caused massive inflation which would have eroded the value away.

the economy doesnt run on money. it runs on real things which are in limited supply.

what do you think happened? from 69k to 20k. BTC and by extension other cryptocurrencies were sponges for inflation, soaking up dollars in a low-interest rate environment. market is manipulated by big institutions who take out big loans and gamble with them, whales move the market. https://hackernoon.com/meet-spoofy-how-a-single-entity-dominates-the-price-of-bitcoin-39c711d28eb4

i agree that bitcoin soaks up inflation but it can lose value from 69k to 20k without people necessarily selling it.

maybe it is former bitcoin owners trying to spend the proceeds who are stoking up inflation now.

it's a combination of factors. banks are buying up precious metals.
>lose value without people selling it
what?
general macro economics have been fucked anyway without bitcoin, ever since going off the gold standard, moneyprinting is a recipe for inflation, there's no escaping it only kicking the can down the road then trying painful rate hikes to respond. Breakfast & gasoline aren't getting any cheaper though despite rate hikes, there's too much money flowing around and yes people cashing out their crypto is part of it.. down 1 trillion or so from ATH, I think, just added to the world economy

Please shut the fuck up, you don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about. Inflation is completely reactionary to the increased supply of fiat currency, literally one of the first things you learn in economics.

what dont you understand?

if i owned a bitcoin at the peak, it was worth 68k.

now its worth 19k. i didnt sell it.
