Probably. Thats just a lot of space and most likely a decade of storage time to make maaybe $50 to disney/vhs buff. Like my buddy Rick from Pawn Stars would say, it costs money to store goods im condition-stable environments. Depends on if you wanna hoard random shit valuables until they appreciate.

honestly yes. I have a collection of old first print vhs from the 80s and some of them are going for 20-80$ depending on what it is. it might take 20yrs but someone will want that little mermaid one and those others will be wanted eventually. hell I have some old dvd's from way back that pop for 20-40 sometimes due to low print or being older hard to find stuff.
people dont care til its 40yrs later and you cant find a copy of it for less than $400

VHS tapes have a lifespan, OP. They don't last forever, eventually the tape will degrade and be unwatchable. You start to see degradation after 10-25 years (depending on storage conditions, time watched, etc)

Could you sell them individually and make a profit? Sure but it'll be less than the trouble it's worth. And if you sold them wholesale you're probably breaking even on fees, shipping, etc.
Did you watch a gary v video or something and get convinced the road to riches is paved in buying garage sale junk? Be honest

Makes me kinda sad because I grew up in the 70's and 80's and was actually interested in those games for the sake of themselves. I'd buy them if the prices weren't all jacked up all across the board. So yeah fuck that, I'm doing emulators and roms instead. Plus now the media (floppy diskettes and tapes) are probably in bad shape at this point. Even the computer systems have problems, notably the capacitors and batteries leaking, but also various other things that aren't always easy to fix unless you're a nerd who's really into that shit. So I'd wager a lot of these things are just going to end up in people's closets and collect dust.

Also I don't fucking get those youtube channels. People are watching other people play games, instead of just playing them themselves? What's the fucking point, mate? The best part about getting a new game back in the day was that I didn't know a fucking thing about it, because it was usually a copy some other kid at school gave me on a blank floppy disk. So it was like Christmas every time, never knew what I was going into, and there weren't any game manuals or anything, so I was like a voyage of discovery every time. I did sometimes get sneak peaks of some games in magazines, but I was a poorfag and didn't have subscriptions, so usually that wasn't the case. And quite frankly it was a lot better that way, without all the industry noise and bullshit.

They'll probably be worth like $5 a piece maybe in 10-20 years, they have more value as a Disney collection as well. Also you need to store them at room temperature, if stored in a shed, or loft or garage they'll oxidize and be unplayable.

They're worth like $1 each now.

The thing is at the moment they are near worthless, for all but rare stuff, so they have probably bottomed. Like in most cities if you went on Freecycle or whatever and offered to take VHS cassettes for free you'd probably still get offers.

More people are starting to collect VHS now, and the whole gay retro-youtuber thing converts people into collecting vintage stuff they never grew up with, which I find in many respects is silly. They can absolutely meme more value into VHS over the next decade whilst a bunch of them are improperly stored and become useless.

This isn't investment advise, as that would be retarded, I'm just trying to paint a picture as to how they might ascertain some value.
