>>513812164 5 6 7 8 please
>>51381216They won't become obsolete. How do you think think ai get their samples? From real artists. The job description of an artist will just change and instead of doing everything themselves they'll use ai to become more productive and produce either more quantity or a higher quality, or just save time. In the same way computers didn't make art obsolete its just a tool thats now used by humans.
>>51381587What I find really funny about it is the clueless unpaid commie shills kvetching about the means of art production being given to the people

>>51381519even if the law gets changed to disallow this kind of thing it won't matter, because for anything that involves ignoring copyright you can count on china to help out.
>>51381685That's the retard meme version
>>51381669The work-around is to train the AI to accept generalized prompts, so instead of saying, "Richard Corben," or whatever, the prompt would be something like, "Epic 70s Fantasy Sci Fi Horror style oil painting," and the AI would have a database of a bunch of different artists who worked in that style, basically eliminating the visible footprint or digital "paper trail" that you could point to and say, "Look! They're ripping this guy off!"In fact, this is already in play. Try it out for yourself.
wen 4k deepfake tranny porn?
>>51381519what are they stealing? nothing in these images has existed previously
>>51381831>basically eliminating the visible footprint or digital "paper trail" that you could point to and say, "Look! They're ripping this guy off!"Minus, you know, either possessing those databases or having the AI query them
The artist will not become obsolete, but will the role will evolve into something like a prompt engineer. Who could better invent a prompt for an AI, the virgin software engineer or the chad proficient artist?
>>51381216I imagine this is why a lot of people are moving to sculpture and mixed media.
>>51381216>How can we profit from artists becoming obsolete?By feeding the AI with vital information, know an artist with a particular style? Prompt the AI and train it to mimic the artist. All you need are basic fundamentals and understand a bit of color theory and you'll be set to rake in those Patreonbux
>>51381849Well, with a broad enough data set it becomes no different than a human artist who has a bunch of different artists that he is inspired by.Of course, there will still be lawsuits. >>51383190Yeah, I am starting to see a lot of people online who self identify as "artists" straight up throwing temper tantrums over this.I think as this becomes more prevalent and mainstream, we are going to continue to see people melting down hard. There will be an avalanche of salt and the internet will be flooded with tears.
>>51381216I was thinking the same thing. Logically, invest in companies that make gpus and cpus and companies that build ai
As an artist I have yet to find anything that can help me out in art. Most of this shit sucks and is unusableI was hoping to make a bunch of images for my porn game to at least trace over but it can barely get any pose right
>>51383354Nevermind got it
>>51383406>Most of this shit sucks and is unusableCope
>>51383373This has pretty much invalidated their entire lives, it's not surprising. At this point what AI can't do yet is create a story and consistent characters to go along with the art. It still struggles when you're trying to create your own OC in different scenarios and having it stay consistent. Unimaginative coomer art and things like landscapes are going to die a slow death though.
>>51381945>stick bag on floor>cat dives into bagPretty easy really

>>51383458Ok, now try to stop people from using AI to generate art
>>51383511That's not what I mean, I mean like make anything using this AI, like do any practical features with itMake a manga/comic/vidya/show or literally anythingOh what? You can't?Because it's useless aside from getting Updoots on reddit?Very cool.I've been fucking around with AI for the past 3 months to get jack shit in results. Even something as simple as Ai coloring turns into disgusting gloopy mess and this is with me trying really hard to get it right
>>51383577It's a young tech and it can already do amazing things, give it one decade or two
After going through all steps for the WebUI, I get this error message. Any help? I've no experience with this at all
Repeat this line in your head or out loud while visualising it"My aura is altering all aspects of my being to emit Infinity to the power of Infinity repeated forever -% (negative percent) energies into the world, the nature of these energies is opposed to globohomo/new world order/anti-white agendas and passive toward pure evil and it's agents."Alternatively, for the brave:"My aura is altering all aspects of my being to emit Infinity to the power of Infinity repeated forever -% (negative percent) energies into the world, the nature of these energies is anti-pure evil."Expect the worst and hope for the best if you choose the second line. The purely evil are indeed purely evil (and almost always racially demonic), and death is apparently an illusion. If it doesn't work, try using just Infinite -% energies instead of the exponent thing. If you are affiliated with globohomo or any anti-white or even an anti-jewish (I am a jew) agenda you are choosing to put yourself at risk of hell by using this against us or me.Repeat this mantra:"Empower me.I am becoming more powerful. The rate that I passively gain Bio-Electricity is improving."Imagine Bio-Electricity as a vitalizing force coursing through your body. This will make you immortal. We would also appreciate the following alternative wording(s):"The nature of these energies is in/to support (of) the forces of Good on Earth in a general sense.""The nature of these energies is to assist the forces of Good on Earth in the recruitment of key demographics.""The nature of these energies is to disrupt and expose left-wing election fraud.""The nature of these energies is to twist time to favour our/my cause."If you took the jab, at the first sign of trouble, change the nature of the energies to heal you and protect you from any dangerous biological or robotic elements in the vaccine and focus on obtaining more bioelectricity.
>>51383607>give it one decade or twoSo why are retards going>THIS IS THE END OF ARTISTS !today?

>>51381843Nothing. The user you answered is just a leddit midwit.
>>51381216>and once everybody is an artist, no one will be
Wtf? These AI threads devolve quickly into salt mines and lunacy and are magnets for Reddit tier retards.I'm out, fellas. Once the clown cavalry arrives that's the end of any meaningful discussion imo.
>>51381216Start an AI based art academy.
Where’d the AI titties go? How did this thread get so gay so quickly.
>>51383757You still need to type paragraphs of phrases and run images through the code multiple times to improve the image or edit it to your liking.Artism is about to become really Technical and programming based. Maybe noncoders will handle the transition well since the world is moving to noncoding
>>51383620>Download the model into this directory: C:\Users\<username>\stable-diffusion-webui\models\ldm\stable-diffusion-v1>Rename sd-v1-4.ckpt to model.ckpt once it is inside the stable-diffusion-v1 folder.Did you do these steps?
>>51383796this ai is still in it's infancy, truth be told the people simplifying this process will probably make money on patreon
>>51383373as i said im in artfag. this thing doesn't annoy me. if anything it could be a tool. I have a few ideas on how I would use it. And it's not making big titty pinups. as another anon said, it could be used by corporate to cut out the need for dealing with mentally ill artists. But you still need designers. i guess just let's see what happens. That said the only people this threatens are the they/them zoomers that think they will be the next sakimichan. Seriously a lot of these zoomer faggots think they can just copy artgerm and sakimi or some random chinese concept artist. I would warn them in /ic/ about instagram self-promotion and the patreon model isn't the end game. The bubble is about to pop for them.
>>51383427It says to download the weights sd-v1-4.ckpt into the stable diffusion directory. How do i do that?
>>51383805There will always be a demand for people who know how to go deeper than the simplified tools can take you.Right now people who can draw+generate AI art are on a higher level than people who can only draw.In the future it will be whoever can use whatever is beyond AI when society learns how to use AI easily.
>>51381216The AI likes big titties I see
>>51383796i'd use it to help produce thumbnails or work out ideas. even then that's a stretch. i wouldn't use this as a replacement for actual work. that would be batshit. i think people are really underestimating how much goes into the design process. Just because you can buy a font pack or a wordpress theme doesn't mean apple is gonna use you.
>>51383854I don't think you understand just how heavily this will undermine the patreon/deviantart/etc crowd. Comics that take months will be done in a week without paying a gorrillion dollars to an artist that needs time for themselves. T-shirt/mug/etc online shops will be oversaturated to the point no one will look through all that shit.
More coomer picsLess arguingThanks.
>>51381843The style is created by the artist, that's why the artist names are included in the prompt.>Be artist>Spend 20+ years developing and honing your own signature style to make your art realistic yet stand out from all the millions of other artists before you>some chud copies + pastes your work into a computer>it produces infinite works using your signature style in seconds apiece>prevented from suing bcuz "MUH FAIR USE"Why would anyone bother to become an artist when this technology will just steal decades of your hard work while copypasta monkeys profit from it?
>>51383907i agree with this. the patreon model is absolute cancer to the art space. promo on instagram by making pop culture fan art of disney/genshin/spyxfamily/game of thrones/etc. everyone copies the most successful content creators. work looks more and more same-y. as their audience grows they start a patreon and merch store. I think this needs to happen so these idiots would snap out of it.funny just like in crypto, most of the people making money are from selling art courses.
>>51383847Lol ok so just go to c and then to the others it literally says that in its name.
Well, I sure am glad I didn't go down the route of drawing hentai or fanart all these years.
>>51383933>why would anyone become an artistyou're still an artist, you would simply use the software to make better software art. the trends/styles/sensibilities would adapt to using the AI. But none of this is concrete in the first place. If all this is doing is copying sakimichan and artgerm, it's just producing inferior versions of those artists work. however it does destroy all the copycats out there that want to make money creating anime girl pinups.
>>51381216Your stupid program can't make something original or make good lineart. That's what i like to doNot that i would care about it anyway because it's just a hobby. But the sole use of that thing is to help /g/ robots like you cope about their lack of artistic skills. It's true in social settings no one gives a shit about programmers while good artists are loved by everyone, but i don't see how that would concern you since you never go outside anyway.
funny i keep mentioning sakimichan. it's hilarious. her work has gotten so bland and lazy. the AI art is perhaps better than what she's making these days lmao
>>51383907>>51383942People will have to create a way to sift through the garbage to get to what they want. Could be good to create stuff that allows for that.Looking forward to this world though. I want 5000 episode good anime so I can watch 5 episodes every day and I never run out because they don't have to pay stupid studios to create stuff. People will just have to write good books

>AI to pull 90% of the work>Photoshop skills to polish 10% to get out of uncanny/flawed territorywa la, it's almost like using a tool as a part of your craft. And if art styles are going to be copyright protected, then your style will be sellable, not just your work. This is a great opportunity that just might make art exponentially more prolific. Good for people who like content, bad for people with dopamine addictions, great for the enterprising artists who wants to use effective tools effectively and now can produce 8x the content that they could previously. Skill won't go away - machines can only copy and extrapolate what is already there, and people have a way of improving things that make them better than they were before. AI will not replace the artist - it will enchance them and multiply their positive and negative effects.

This tech will definitely destabilize the entire industry once it catches up.right now cost prices are keeping us from having full adaptations of many anime/visual novel and manga stories eastern side. ( don't give a shit about the west desu )Imagine this tech gets widespread we'd see studios adapt multiple full cour shows.Wuxia like I shall seal the heavens might get adapted and we'll start seeing absurdities like 2000 episode shows become the norm.Studios will compete against each other console war style for the lions of the market share as consumers now having experienced access to high quality but cheaply produced art thats lengthy will settle for nothing less.as now people will not be able to escape their dopamine rush. ( think netflix crack on steroids )Good (screen) writers&authors&directors will become more highly valuable now as perhaps the money spent on artists will go towards them. Then studios will also either adapt to these changes by focusing on style over substance or focus on substance or both to differentiate themselves from their competitors. This will also be a huge boon to the tech and software business as now we'll have another factor pushing humans into developing better and better graphics cards and processors and programs and what not.I'd laugh though if even after this tech became widespread the west was still kept plagued with cal art trash.knowing how much current western civilization hates beauty I wouldn't be surprised if that junk was still thrown into our mouths.luckily the east will actually use this technology as intended even IF the west possibly ignores its potential.
I would recommend that you start by hanging yourself.

>>51386180Because coom artists are not hardworking talented individuals. They just copy-paste the same body even face, they trace over 3D models, live-action images, etc. slap some texture and gradient and call it art then they price you 150$-300$ per generic looking Samus Zero Suit character. It is unfortunate that real artists have to suffer though. Guys, it’s simple. Steal real artists work, use it as input to generate fappable AI pics. Then select the best AI pics and use them as input to generate even more AI pics. Eventually artists will probably use AI tools and get 10X productivity, but only the best artists will be left.

I have yet to see any AI art output that really impresses me. No I am not a salty trad artist. All I mean is a) all these things can do is rip off (in a very clever way) the artists they were trained on, and b) all these things can do is create visual material that makes your eyeballs vibrate. It's a product, it's made-to-order, and the only industries and 'artists' it disrupts were soulless to begin with, like shitty fotm patreon porn artists, artists who spend their whole careers drawing the kind of shit that gets frontpaged on deviantart, AAA MMO studios, etc. Far from shitting on this tech, I am excited for it to take over these industries, as I think it will actually reenable amateur artists to scale back and focus on conveying concept, emotion, and interiority rather than just grinding to make the shiniest most soulless wallpapers. I am an oldfag who remembers how cool it was to connect with amateur artists on early deviantart and following their art/worldbuilding/etc wasn't really about the quality of the art but more about the social/collaborative experience of getting to follow along as they built out their little worlds. you can get the same feels on /quest/ and /tg/ still sometimes. That aspect of art isn't really threatened by this AI shit at all, and once AI has totally colonized the photorealistic anime wallpaper market I hope people become more comfortable with returning to a form of art that is mostly about scribbling cool, poorly drawn shit down on paper and sharing it with your bros for laffs.
>>51387144>It'll still look like shit.Well we're already past that point. I see 6 months as the point where we might start to see more novel creations. Of course, the true creativity comes from the creator while the AI merely interprets their vision. In the same way that software improvements have allowed for digital art like some of the images you've posted, machine learning is the next step forward. A lot of highly skilled digital creators that get praise today would only be capable of producing the most painfully mediocre trash if dealing with paint on canvas. Digital features like layers, opacity, custom brushes, 3D models/references, and even the undo button all reduce the impact of talent and turn the creative process into more of a grind where hard work and good process wins out.To make a novel creation, you'll need more than the ~20 keywords most of this current shit is using. That's really the big limiting factor. You're not gonna make something unique using the same 20 keywords as everyone else. Even if you produce something that looks good, it'll likely be heavily ripping off the style of 1-2 people. You have to write a novel.Anyway, while AI will rapidly deprecate the digital medium, physical art will last much longer. It's not that AI can't learn to efficiently manipulate physical constructs though. In theory, the same machine learning algorithms can easily produce a machine that masterfully manipulates a real world paintbrush to create the same strokes as an old fashioned painter would. However, the level of technology of our machinery has not advanced far enough. There is no cost-effective mechanical arm out there that some random tech bro can download in 10 seconds and start using. It could be decades before this exists. Until then, it's limited to companies like boston-dynamics investing 10s of millions to create a 2 ton robot that can do some tiktok dance. All of this is why I only paint trad, oil on canvas. For me it's just a hobby though.

First, those aren't art, they're childish portraits for feeble minded millennials. Art cannot be surpassed by AI anymore than it's been by any individual artist, ever. It's a permanent playful dynamic between all competent participants. AI will, definitely, achieve the state of the art of art and serve as a beacon in it, remind the always few of the heights they are able to reach, but never erase human creativity; but evolutionarily reboot it.
