As far as space stocks go ASTS for sure. I've seen price targets in the $30-$80 range (pic related is Deutche Bank) and that's on the conservative side. Get more time on your options. You are buying inside the most extreme part of the theta decay curve. If you have more time you have more extrinsic value to hedge on if the price moves against you. You can sometimes even get out for a tiny profit if you are on the right side of vega and get a good fill. Buying in the money options is actually a better idea than out of the money as you will exchange delta's for other greeks if the price moves against you hurting you less. the strong USD looks like it could be peaking as the ECB has hiked rates from 0 to 0.75. cpi on weds will be low and surprise investors to the upside(cleveland Fed has forecasted inflation to have come down significantly), the markets already priced in 75 bps for the next fomc on september 21. in addition once they conclude 75 bps then 25 bps in nov, then 25 bps in dec, they will pause and keep rates there to assess where inflation/economy is going. if inflation is sticky or going up, they will probably pull a Paul Volker, so we're not out of the woods yet. but we are closer to the end of the feds tightening cycle, so in the short term i am bullish because the the mid term election cycle is nearing its end, and the fed will stop shocking markets soon.

There will 100% be a pivot soon and stocks will rally hard. I say this as someone balls deep in SQQQ. This will probably be right in lockstep with congress trying some money printing to buy votes. Coordinated to pump 401ks back up by early Nov, while not causing gas prices up too much till after that.

Obviously inflation will not be vanquished back to 2% by that time. Watch the inflation plays: TIPS break evens (T5YIE), gold, and oil. Someone connected will know the fed is going to pivot so you'll see it there 1st IMO. Don't get hooked. Don't miss the inflation trade when it's go time.

After the dems are done stuffing/counting/harvesting ballots the incentives change and it'll be time to be out again, most likely. IDK WTF they care about more at that point but I suspect it might be back to stubborn hawkishness and trying to crush oil (i.e. Russia) even if it means sending unemployment to 10%. After all they'll have 2 years till next elections and so they figure they have 2 years to beat Putler with King Dollar before they have to go back to printing to buy votes again.

Only that I would like to add like some other anon pointed out in this thread that energy prices going into the winter are a huge downside risk that could make the equity markets shit the bed. This and gridlock could be a terrible combination. SPR is also at capacity I saw somewhere? yeah i think oil will probably go down in the next month or two but ratchet higher later this winter once the SPR releases end, maybe china reopens, and then oil could start spreading inflation again. which could mean the fed pausing and seeing whats happening in markets is a good thing i suppose since they arent finished then. they sound like the temporary rate could be 3.75, but i also heard fed ppl say they could be at 4 or higher. my guess would be more hikes next year if inflation really is entrenched, then we get a stronger recession and everythings bad again
