The OP seemed fine for both threads. And the only pattern recognition coming in to play is “I recognize the pattern of this thread was made by the same guy.”
All I said was if someone else bakes- even if it is annoying- if the OP is fine then please just roll with it. Maybe reply to the new baker and tell them to announce if they’re baking next thread, and if they are antagonistic over time then start making your own threads.

The issue I want to avoid is one guy going “I am the only one who is allowed to make threads.” As long as the usual guy or couple of you who make the threads agree that this scenario is to be avoided then it’s fine. It doesn’t seem to be splitting this week so far so hopefully it doesn’t come up anymore. But I don’t want there to be a point where the usual baker puts their own pride in front of what’s best for people who want to post in /GME/. I am humbly asking you to remember that you bake all the time to help others, not because you want to stoke your ego or something, so please if someone else makes a thread and things check out or work fine, just let it slide. I understand your concerns and I don’t resent you for being protective of GME. I’ve been nothing but honest and I hope everyone here can believe that.

Last post for now and if everyone could just put the arguing aside, I hope people can agree we all just want a normal flow of threads that don’t get fucked with or jannied, and I believe the usual bakers aren’t putting their own ego above what’s best for the threads. Worst case scenario, there was an accidental double thread and it’s no big deal. I don’t think anyone is trying to say “only I can make threads” and I don’t think anyone thinks that. I’m glad I took the time to verbalize this issue so that everyone can be mindful. We all are annoyed by the shill splits and the jannies handling of the shills so I understand people not liking my posts.
I’m thankful we have dedicated bakers and I’m thankful a large part of our community cares about not letting shills fuck shit up. The pros outweigh the cons by a long shot. The theory is that locking the float veers towards reducing the number of shares that can be traded.
So it should stop brokers lending out shares illegally. It points a big red arrow at the stock if there are trades going on when there aren't officially any shares able to be traded. And it should mean there should be less shares to use to ladder the price down, meaning less buys/sells are required to move the price more dramatically.
But as far as I'm aware, 100% locking the float wouldn't directly cause the moass so much as expose everyone in a way that even the most bribed attorney general couldn't ignore

I mean, they just input whatever numbers they want and poof comes extra shares into existence. Locking the float in DRS would be undeniable proof of naked shorting and other illegal activities RC could use to take GME out of the stock market or do whatever. But I think it's gonna MOASS way before then. The margin call line is decreasing bit by bit. If it wasn't, then they could have just kept the price at $500 dragging this out for decades which is what I would have done if I was a hedgie. The system is fucked up but it's still working in one way or another.
