Many people buy pickup trucks and then use them as ordinary commuter cars, that may occasionally haul moderate amounts of garden/building supplies on the weekend. Electric pickups work well enough for that sort of usage.

>inflation has become entrenched
if its entrenched it means i will last for years and fed fud will lose all its power
you can already feel the change in the tune, the same people screeching 100k soon in dec are now perma bears screeching sub 10k soon
this whole fed business was always a short term market manipulation

Not really, a smaller unibody hybrid "truck" like the Maverick is cheaper, more practical and better for the environment than a full EV truck used to get mulch one weekend a year. Electric vehicles are inherently shit, the perfect engine configuration was invented in the 1800s, a diesel/electric motor hybrid.

So are renewables except for hydro.
They know it, its all part of the plan.

Yes really. My entire parking lot is half ton trucks with no tow hitches. They are big square sedans. Now there is an electric big square sedan.

The Maverick is smaller, cheaper, easier to daily/park over a half ton. It's more practical to drive a unibody crossover "truck" than an EV F150 if all you're doing is going to Home Depot. Electric vehicles aren't better for the environment while the electric grid isn't predominantly powered by nuclear.

Bean counters. Imagine a 4wd version of the cell phone that:
>1. harvests your data and resells to anyone
>2. has to be replaced within 8 years (either the very expensive battery or the whole car)
How long does the average vehicle currently stay on the road in the USA? I think it's 15 years now, but someone else can double check.
EVs in their current state are a huge scam. They require tons of fossil fuels to produce, aren't recyclable, reduce owner freedom, and don't reach carbon parity with ICE vehicles until close to when their batteries die, so you're actually buying something worse the the environment if you're trying to virtue signal.

former automotive fag here, these car companies have 0 idea what they're doing, the company I worked for is run by a woman and they've sunk millions of dollars into their diversity department, a wholly separate entity from HR, that only exists to antagonize the white employees. all of the people that could have made a good electric vehicle have retired or are staying far away from the industry

4x4 is necessary for anyone rural Great Lakes, Appalachia and Mountain West. Your options are Subaru, Sport Ute or pickup here. Pickups are extremely versatile and a sensible choice for anyone in the area and just because they aren’t having boulders dumped into the bed by an excavator every day doesn’t mean they aren’t getting used.
