Even if we ever bottomed out, crypto is something so bizarre that even when coins die, they don't and they always come back
take shinja for example, the coins is worth so little right now that it's actually profitable to own huge amounts of it because when it goes up a bit you instantly get a 35% on millions of tokens at the same time
Imagine if that happened to BTC

>> No.50968231

>>50968226
It all depends of the Fomo the headlines will be selling. If the big whales buy tonnes of headlines, the public may start thinking ops, this is it, buy now before it goes up to 1mln$. Also BTC is already under the radar of maybe 99% of all the millionaires and there are around 30mln rich people and only 14 mln BTC will open to ownership

>> No.50968236

>>50968226
2024 will be the last halving that has a significant affect on price, the impact decreases in each subsequent halving, most of the coins are already in circulation. Demand will be heavy and supply won’t be available.

>> No.50968238

But if demand stays constant or increases (which it will), then shouldn't half of the new supply being mined make a huge difference. I don't see how it can't. I feel like this should continue until demand slows.

>> No.50968240

>>50968236
i think what comes into play at some point is circulating supply. in the past, the mining rewards were a higher percentage of overall supply. now, the circulating supply is much higher and mining rewards are a progressively smaller percentage of coins

if demand is constant and holders aren't willing to sell, then the halvings will definitely still have an impact. a higher circulating supply, though, means more chance of sellers

>> No.50968246

>>50968226
Each halving has half the effect of the previous, even if the market fails to anticipate.

So the next halving will be 1/8 the effect of the first. So personally I am not counting on anything in particular happening then. Price will go up, but it's because existing coins are hard to get, not just newly mined ones.

>> No.50968248

>>50968226
I sure don't see it that way. As more and more people realize that bitcoin is the best way to save money, supply shocks from halvings will have more of an effect, not less.

>> No.50968252

>>50968246
This is demonstrably incorrect.

Think of the last halving when each block goes from rewarding one satoshi to zero. Will anyone care? Clearly not right? A satoshi will be at most 1 of today's dollars. The halving eventually has zero effect. How do you think it gets to zero? It's not sudden. Each halving has a smaller and smaller effect, because each time newly minted coins are a smaller proportion of all coins to start with.

Because it's a PND and most brainless junk goes in and gets rekt. This is the case with most PND. There is always someone at the receiving end.

True sustainable assets are what count, like ETH, Xpress, Dydx, and many others with solid fundamentals and utility. Solid projects can easily find their way back.

What if the price does not plummet to 7–10K as predicted? IMO, the best thing to do is to DCA. All these unreasonable predictions will definitely turn out to be void. I bet you don't have any fucking proof to back up your prediction. If you do, share.

2/3 of my indicators signal bull market, but low confidence. Barely scraping by. The third one should confirm next week or the other one. I've been slowly increasing my long positions every other day for the past couple weeks very slowly with stop-losses at around 21k. If the signals were high confidence I would have sunked all of my money into it already.
