I'm sorry, that comment must have slipped my attention. A combined 40 pbtid between the two of you makes it hard to keep track sometimes. I think the 2020 top was pretty obvious. Sold about 40% of my stack at $12 and $16. I expected a Chainlink bearmarket to last for maybe a year, but I guess the overall bull market prevented that ($ wise). 2022 performance has been disappointing but the may crash and subsequent crab has been a prime accumulation opportunity. I feel a lot better now Chainlink has cleared the falling wedge, that bitch went on way longer and deeper than I expected.

All in all feeling pretty bullish in the runup to Smartcon. Still, rate hikes, Russia, black swans etc can all make the global market crash in which case Chainlink will obviously follow, but since I'm never selling that doesn't really bother me much.

Possible future use cases, the tokenomics, potential partnerships, integrations, new talent being on boarded. The list goes on. High level discussion of this nature went on through ALL of 2018 and somewhat into 2019 after main net. During that time period in 2018 for a whole year the price bounced from about $.17 to nearly $.60 for 12 months. Without even trying most could have gotten nearly a $0.40 DCA basis and had over a year to accumulate.

You just didn't DYOR, weren't here, or disregarded it. Idk what to tell you friend. There is always another play though luckily and LINK is still one of them.

You're intelligent enough I assume to realize why that is. Everything else (or nearly everything) in crypto is a fucking grift, a scam, with no clear pathway to mainstream adoption. Chainlink is it, that's why /biz/ fell in love with it 5 years ago and its why it still gets spammed today, because the majority of posters on this site are intj autists who only see big picture and have zero interest in trading a volatile market, they just want to buy the asset that is most likely to win in the end. That's not to say there aren't others who prefer to attempt to make it faster playing musical chairs, as long as you're aware thats what it is.
The biggest negative for link is being outperformed by btc/eth (the "safer" assets) for 2 years running, but from an investment standpoint this means its probably an ideal time to reallocate towards link. And on a long enough timeline chainlink has still outperformed btc/eth by large amounts since its inception.
