How do everyone think the DTCC can rectify this situation? As I see it the only rectifying action would be a total reset to positions as they were at the dividend date, and then recall the split and distribute the dividend. But that is nearly an impossible undertaking. The cat (shares) is out of the bag, there is no going back. So I guess GameStop will have to do a share recall.

They issued the shares they were supposed to issue based on what the books said.
