I never plan to become a citizen. As far as residency and taxes go I think you need to be in the country 183 days a year to be taxed. The main reason to get the visa is so you can travel freely throughout the schengen zone. Spending more than half a year in Portugal might be too much, heh.

The end goal is self serve. I don't think they are shelving it, but people keep asking every week where its at when the answer is that it takes time. Adding in new products like search ads are going to push it back but the end result is you get a much stronger product that doesnt take a ton of rejiggering. You're not going to gain shit, even on the largest platforms just running a single ad with no follow up. Brave has been doing JRE ads since 2019, only issue is they run a single ad for a year with no follow through. No repeat ads, no plugging it on other platforms/social media (Plebbit users had to make threads on it back in the day), list goes on.

You aren't getting the full picture. A MAU isn't someone who opened brave one time in one month. An MAU is someone who has probably opened the browser 2-3 week for 2-3 weeks. Brave likely didn't get 3m uninstalls. What likely happened is people are on a 2 week+ vacation and others are getting kids ready for school etc. This can be observed yearly just from the firefox stats I pulled up as well as common knowledge. Firefox doesn't magically have 25m users uninstall for a few months and then everyone somehow just reinstalls every year. Firefox is definitely losing users but we are talking about user activity being down which looks like lost users.
