bps or BPS stands for Boring Percentage Status, named after former fed chair Herman Boring. Its a number the fed uses economic data to calculate each month that suggests how likely are we going to be in a recession. We’ve been getting close with 75 bps or 75% likely at the last meeting. Some say we might hit 100 at this one

1bp, or base point, is like a percent of a percent. That is, a 100bp rate raise would be 1.5% to 2.5% Fed funds rate.

Nah Im just fucking with you lmao, its “basis points”. 75 bps is 0.75%. They are talking how much the fed will raise the fed funds rate at the FOMC. Look up these terms, interesting stuff, there was a big dump after the last FOMC. Some say 75 bps is priced in, but theres a chance they go for 100

Basis points. 1 bp = 0.01%.
When people use it they are usually talking about the federal reserve raising interest rates on the money it loans to the banks and federal government. Rate go up = less inflation but enter recession. Rate go down = more inflation but economic boom. Runaway Bidenflation means we need high interest rates to put his moronic shenanigans to rest. This, in turn, means that we're in a recession despite the Whitehouse trying to change the definition.

What's the best way to scoop up a house in this upcoming crash? Watch for foreclosures and take it from the family?
