Imagine collecting boomer rock, like you said gold makes you a target. If you honestly thought the economy would crash it'd be a good idea to buy crypto on credit and pay off a minimum balance.
Not only that but gold isn't barterable in a collapse, not saying it won't be used but to get food when everyone is starving no one is gonna want your shiny rock.
