I pretty much only go long on shares that are optionable these days. CCs are a very comfy way to do it. You should only ever sell above your cost basis - then you're guaranteed to be profitable. You might miss out on some gains if you misprice it, but you'll always be green. However, if the stock moves down, you might have to DCA to maintain that "above cost basis" point.
You get premium either way, and depending on where it closes, you'll either keep your shares or forced to sell at a profit.
If you're net bullish, you can also sell OTM puts as well, just keep some cashmoney aside in case you have to actually buy 100 for mispricing it on the way down. But again, free premium for doing it this way.

I do the same thing with CMRX and UUUU. Moreso for UUUU, but every time it falls significantly, I buy 100 shares, and every time it pops off, I sell a CC (since a sharp rise = more volatility = more premium received). If you set price targets correctly, you should be able to buy 100 new shares after selling about 11-12 contracts.
