Everest is a VFA Licensed platform that issues and verifies user-owned digital identities, electronic wallets, document management, and a license for asset-backed stablecoins in order for users and businesses to verifiably and transparently engage in transactions.

It has two competitive advantages:
1) License to issue and redeem asset-backed stablecoins, so they get bank accounts everywhere; which means users in Brazil, Mexico, US, Europe, etc. can transfer in/out of their normal bank accounts.
2) Identity is owned by the user, so they can use their wallet to share proof of humanness, proof of uniqueness, proof of KYC, preserving their privacy and allowing them to monetize data about themselves.

There will be quite a lot of dillution, as 400k ID tokens are needed to run a validator node, (Limit of 100 nodes) and more can be delegated beyond that.
Transactions will utilize ID token and part of them will be burned and the rest paid to the validators.

ID2020 insider here; have been corresponding with Everest ever since our partnership began back in 2018. At first everything seemed promising, the proposal of what they were building was what we were needing to help launch our Indonesian pilot program to use biometrics for propane supply distribution; What followed has since been a non-stop displeasure. A few weeks after the pilot began Bob emailed me saying they needed to pivot how biometrics were provided, I asked what he meant and he replied with "You'll see :)" I should have thought more of it, instead decided to trust Bob; big mistake.

The next week I ask Bob for a progress report and he sends me 100s of dick pics of Indonesian villagers, all precisely catalogued by name. Horrified I hastily email him back and ask Bob what the meaning of this was, Bob just replies with "I never forget a penis ;)" Months go on and instead of progress reports Bob just keeps sending me pictures of Indonesians with dropped trousers flashing their dicks. I was about ready to complain to the ID2020 bosses when the Indonesian government phones me to say that the villagers all received their propane and are satisfied, wanting to continue to develop more with Everest.

So here I am four years later, still in correspondance with Bob. The Indonesian government keeps emailing me asking where their biometric supply distribution platform is, I email Bob and he keeps emailing me back with "It's built. :)" I've given up on them ever delivering at this point.

Essentially Everest is creating a sybil resistant legal identity for people to interact with DeFi/Dapps and other crypto services crosschain, while meeting meeting KYC/AML regulations globally.

What enables Everest's stack is their (fairly exclusive) MFSA license which they are using to build essentially a legal global bank account & wallet hybrid which is Everwallet. Everwallet is a KYC wallet, generated through a user's biometric liveness test, making every user only able to create a single wallet and Identity; and enables them to meet global KYC/AML standards for interacting cross chain with Privacy focused Zero Knowledge Proofs inside various crypto services as regulations come into place.

A primary feature inside the wallet is the CRDT token, a fully programmable stabletoken voucher, which can be custodially fully backed 1:1 to any asset (as Everest is a bank) Fiat currencies as well as stocks, commodities. Currently CRDT has it's first release being directly connecting from a Tradfi ACH rail onto Everest's Everchain, bridging Fiat onto a blockchain 1:1 backed.
First released use case of CRDT is Remittances going directly from USA -> Mexico, cheaper than Traditional More remittance corridors are on the way, aswell as using this same rail to go from Fiat bank <-> to Dapp.

The sheer tokenomics of Everest alone guarantees that one day 1 LINK = 1 ID. There are only 800,000,000 ID tokens which will be systematically burned by usage of features on the Everest platform, i.e. regulatory compliant KYCing. Not to mention every single institution in crypto and the legacy world wanting to onboard into DeFi will be forced to stake 250,000 tokens if they want full access to the features of Everest. It is not only well within the realms of possibility that 1 LINK = 1 ID given these tokenomics compared to Chainlink’s 1,000,000,000 model - it is an eventual guarantee. The problem with the Everest community is not that they are gay, nor that they venerate a token that has performed poorly, run by an alleged goatfucker. No, the problem with the Everest community is the Reddit-tier egregorical dominance. There is less than 30 active people in the community at present, and only around 5 of which who do not share this juvenile understanding of memetics. Chainlink saw a similar manifestation in the early years, but the distribution between the hylics and the pneumatics in the community was significantly less severe than it currently is in Everest. Unfortunately I do not expect this trend to slow down. As with The Decline of The Link Marines, Everest’s own experience with normie followers will accelerate until it is completely overrun by hylics willingly posting their faces on Discord and Twitter, and such. It's a wallet, it's your identity, no it's a cross border transaction system, it's a fiat on-ramp, biometrics, remittances, custody, borrowing/lending, everything at once. None of those will provide the KYC/AML worldwide as needed, there aren't any others that meet standards jurisdiction to jurisdiction/bank to bank; Everest met those standards by becoming a bank itself, and banks need to connect to fiat rails, which they are building.
