Is PoS a meme?

It's literally just 'people won't do bad things because they have money on the line'.

Is this the rationale we're meant to trust the future world with?

>Oh yeah, it's all good nothing will go wrong because it costs a bunch to do it

We're meant to be working towards a future whereby the rich and powerful are unable to continue to consolidate rule and power and the solution is only the rich can rule?

just like you trust miners won't try and mine a forked chain with zero transactions, since the cost of running electricity while attempting would be a large cost
that's literally how all of this shit works: it costs more to attack than to be a good actor

No?

Yeah it is a meme. You can clearly see legacy investors (a.k.a. boomer stocks, real estate etc.) Have shifted their narrative on ETH ever since they decided they were going to go the PoS route. Some market guys unironically said ETH 4K EOY. ETH is a giant shitcoin, just as bad as the obvious rugpulls that get shilled here by pajeets and bots. There are other chains that solve the scalability problem of PoW by adopting a hybrid between PoW and PoS, and I honestly think that it's the best middle ground solution. PoS is essentially reddit hopium at this point.
