When did you snap and realize the common path of university was for cuckholds? I did when I was about to submit this letter to my university to get readmitted after failing out. I was taking theoretical physics. As I wrote this poorly worded filth, groveling like some pathetic eunuch, I then understood that the only path to the life I wanted was to start a business or get rich from stocks/crypto

I've been looking for ways to retire early since high school because I knew I didn't want the wagie life. I always liked computers though so I fell for the software devleopment meme. Thought if I could get a high paying job and save a lot I could eventually retire early, and programming would require minimal interaction with people.
So I graduated university with a degree and I sucked at it, but I was better than half my graduating class, and I got a higher-than-median-wage job soon after. Since then I spent time saving and investing half of my income.
In 2017 I wired a quarter of my life savings to a random bank in japan so I could buy ethereum, been saving and buying a mix of stocks/crypto since then.

It's not exciting but I'm slowly getting there, crypto helped a lot, up to 400k now. Feels like I got rug pulled because houses went from 300k to 800k in my city since I started working, and it feels retarded to buy now.
I'm a leaf and I don't want to stay here forever either, but moving to another country permanently is incredibly difficult, especially for an unvaxxed chad.

Not sure what your question is. Out of my undergraduate physics department of 20 graduates, one is currently a professor and I would say he has earned it by sheer talent. The rest are all working outside of physics. The closets are a couple that went into medical physics at hospitals. Myself and others who took the most profitable route went into finance/consulting/data science working for big corporations. Although at least for me, this path eventually wears you out no matter the money you make as people in corporate are even dumber than in academia and you have to tolerate unlimited amounts of hypocrisy to last a career.

Then there are a few really persistent midwits who by sheer force of will and refusal to entertain alternatives are still doing post-docs or hanging onto lecturer positions at 2nd tier universities.

foregoing college altogether is a dumb meme. Go to a local tech school, community college, commuter college, etc. where the courses are cheap as fuck. I spent probably 15-20k total (no loan) on a bachelor's in cybersecurity and now I make 163k. Graduated in 2017. Not going to college at all is fucking retarded, just like anything else you want to buy low and sell high, aka, go to the best value college you can and ensure you get a degree that will perform well for a long time.

See if the school you graduated from has any "Articulation Agreements" or similar that allow you to transfer all of your credits to another (preferably local, smaller tie) college that offers bachelor's program that links to your associates. That's literally what I did, started at associates tech college and got it for like 5 grand then transferred to another semi shit tier commuter school to finish my degree (2yr @ tech school cost; 2yr at commuter college cost).

Good enough to get through qualifying examinations/oral examinations, but not good enough to do research. Wasted a lot of time and the connections I made weren't able to get me a job. I was a poor shithead in a big name university. They ended up paying 2/3 of my tuition fees and paid 1/3 of my tuition fees as a bursary for living expenses, essentially making university free. Meanwhile I also got student support from my home country paid to me every month, as well as taking out max. government student loans of which 40% were written off when I graduated on time. The latter was essentially 10k of free money. On top of that I got a few k per year as gibs from various funds set up by rich dead people a long time ago just by asking for it.

In this way I was paid a substantial sum of money to attend a high-ranking university. Mostly by being poor but also by applying for all the gibs which most people didn't know existed.

The one undeniable positive thing is, people will give you the benefit of the doubt and a wide berth once they find out you have a phd in physics (especially if its from a brand name university). You can float above a lot of the garbage politics that normies are subjected to. And unlike a job or fancy corporate title. PhD stays with you for life and transfers everywhere in the world. If you wanna grind 5-6 years for that entitlement that lasts the rest of your life, it can be worth it if you play your cards right and learn some useful skills in graduate school. But sticking it out in academia beyond that for a post-doc, faculty, imho is not worth the trouble.
