Cope, seethe, dilate. You thought you could mess with gamers?! Haha, not buying your burnt out gpus bags. Enjoy selling at a loss. Maybe try not destroying the planet next time we are in a CLIMATE CRISIS right now as you know. Perhaps we would have more sympathy for your massive losses but instead of choose to scalp pallets of gpus for 3 times MSRP out of your greed. And if you weren't scalping you were ether mining on overclocked gpus. I would imagine the tim and fan bearings are worn out. Most likely power delivery components on the gpu are near eol after 2 years of abuse. Imagine thinking anyone will buy your bags. No one is going to buy these gpus for anywhere near what you paid with next gen gpus only a few months away, and most likely there will be a glut of supply. Next time there is a global chip shortage try being on the right side of history.

modern GPUs basically last forever tho and you can also take them apart, clean them and change settings backs to standard.

>buy this defective card whose lifespan has been cut 80% from being abused mining at max efficiency all day for a year straight at MSRP! it's a great deal!
Nice try, schlomo.

>> No.49925748

It's a good time to buy a used GPU while the miners are trying to cut their losses. But you should do the research before you buy. Don't buy the overheating crap, don't buy the cheapest one, test it in the seller PC before you pay for it. Yeah, it's not amazon, but it's a 30-50% discount. And you don't need it to last you a lifetime -- only until you sell it to the next guy.

Good cards only get to about 60-70 degrees at full load, plus they have passive mode, so the delta between idle and full load is not so big. So in normal use it isn't a big issue anymore. Running it constantly at full blast though? It will at least kill the fans, and if the miner is not smart enough to downvolt the card maybe the GPU too.

It's just tech illiterate nocoiner seethe. A rational mind would understand that a GPU running at a stable power draw and stable temperature is more durable than a GPU rapidly changing temperature and power draw. It's not like I have multiple GPU's mining which I occasionally use to game. What do I know though?

its just retards.
stress the memory to check it for errors, replace dry thermal paste and expect fan replacements.
the card should be fine if it was kept in a healthy temp range for the workload.
