I think every BTC holder (with half a brain anyways) knows about this, but to even bring up the notion of having to change the 21m hardcap is something too much for people to handle.
If it's changed once what is to stop miners when Bitcoin has already hit critical mass adoption from increasing it further to enrich themselves at the expense of people? "Just fork it"? Well now security has dropped like a brick in the short term and Bitcoin is once again at risk.

If we're gonna get all technical that age bracket would be ephebophile, but if you ever bring that up everyone will call you a pedophile for knowing the difference. Irrationally, and wrongly.
