Let's say he's right (he's not) , but let's pretend he's not a Jew and he is correct about Solana (or any other crypto) being better than ethereum (it's not). But let's pretend it is. So what? The entirety of the defi ecosystem and NFTs is ethereum. Not 90%, not 95%, literally 100% of defi is ethereum. It's too late for anything else to come in even if it's better (it's not). Everyone knows eth, everyone has eth, everyone accepts eth on exchanges and even as payment. It's grandfathered in already.

Here's the thing though it's not better. Avax isn't better, Solana isn't better, all of these shit the bed anytime real traffic starts to hit the network. And it's not just a slowdown it's a complete crash of these systems for not hours, but fucking days. Literal shitcoins on a shitty block chain, pajeey tier garbage. Even eth is pretty fucking shitty but guess what. It's at the top of the garbage pile and it doesn't catch fire. Nothing better has come along to beat it in about 7 years now and they didn't exactly set the bar high. Like it or not you are stuck with ethereum for life.

Solana is the only network that can scale.
Layer 2s scale compute but they don't scale data availability and their security guarantees are overstated.
The price you pay for Solana is the hardware is expensive and you need a very high throughput data connection, but not full scale data center tier as many think.
Hardware is the only scaling method in the end. It will always come around in someway to bite you in the ass. Ethereum L2s are effectively doing hardware scaling in an indirect way.
Look at the projected hardware requirements for Eth 2.0 with danksharding. Its basically a Solana rig without the GPU.
