I am planning on buying Bitcoin, but don't want to give out unnecessary data. Instead of using a peer to peer exchange, can't I just use a centralized exchange from not the US using a vpn to send some BTC to my wallet?

>> No.49832955

The issue is a lot of exchanges don’t let you withdraw to private wallets without KYCing even if they let you do everything else without KYC

Use an ATM, it's more expensive but that is probably the best option, they are at gas stations all over

thinks hes safe because he uses a vpn lmao

I know that is the case with exchanges in the US, but my idea was to buy from an exchange from a "different country" using a VPN. Cause some countries don't have KYC

Mine
Mining = buying crypto through electric bill

Wut?
>Sign up for kucoin - no kyc required
>Buy Bitcoin
>Withdraw
If you need a fiat onramp you're going to need some for of kyc

Yeah, some of them let you "buy" "crypto" without sending them your ID but if you want it in your own wallet they want your data. And if it's not in your own wallet that you own the keys for then it isn't really your crypto.

You can buy KYCd accounts on all major exchanges done by some pajeets with fake IDs. Then you just use a VPN and you're good.
Download tor and search/ask on dread (darknet reddit).

i know you'd change all the info on the account after you obtain it, but i could never put substantial amounts onto an account that i bought off some pajeet without a huge amount of worry and stress
that being said i'd love a verified binance account

You could do KYC and buy XMR on that exchange and withdraw that. Then convert the XMR to whatever on sideshift.ai or simpleswap.io * or some other similar option. See: https://kycnot.me/?xmr=on&no-registration=on

* (warning; I remember reading over 2 years ago on the simpleswap site that says they require KYC above a certain amount, but they don't say what that amount is, but I also recall reading they return your coins if you refuse the KYC but I can't confirm that, never seen them ask for KYC)

you can use RELAI, it is a Swiss based exchange that does not require KYC bc of Swiss crypto rules.
idk if you can access it from America tough.

and then what? where do you spend the money? are the proceeds of the sale or goods from the spending going to be linked to you?
there's a lot to consider here, anon.
why wouldn't you just use something better, like XMR?

I think you misunderstood anon, I want to invest in Bitcoin for profit, then cash out. In terms of how good the coin is, XMR>>>BTC
