Couldn’t think of a better bear market investment than home improvement.
Be me
>buy in 2018
>all appliances replaced
>bolstered exterior with new materials
>re sealed and painted deck
>installed concrete patio in back yard
>new ac unit
Future plans include
>new roof
>new backyard fence
Not only is your home gaining in value, but you feel an overwhelming sense of not being a nigger. What improvements have you made to your home?

There's the problem right there.

Home improvement projects cost a fucking arm and a leg with no guarantee you'll ever get back what you put in if you ever sell the home. Best to have a crackshack that you spend the bare minimum fixing up to sell.

I obtained a run down home last fall.
The roof gets done tomorrow and next up I obtain new windows and continue gutting the plaster walls.

Find some licensed non American contractors. They will do better work for half the cost.

It sounds like a get rich quick scam.

I grew up without a father so never learned this stuff.

Taught myself to fix and service basic car jobs like brakes, wheels, lights etc.

Also taught myself to do basic electronic repair stuff for ordinary home devices.

How do I learn the home improvement stuff? Are there some basic jobs I can start out with to get some experience using the tools etc?

this. im so cheap i cant justify to myself putting any money into my house unless it will generate a roi

in the modern world it feels impossible to plant "roots" i dont even feel like it's my house cause I've moved so much. can't see myself living here forever, or any house for that matter.

I’m no handyman myself. The best advice is jewtube any job you want to tackle and see if you’re capable of doing any of the work yourself. We also found great mexican contractors through kikebook marketplace. Licensed, insured hard workers that do the job for often more than half of what a white contractor will estimate. Get quotes from several contractors and create a bidding war.

Why would you replace an appliance unless the old one has broke? Waste of money.

My home imorovement
>DIG the foundation out by hand and fix a crack in two spots. TERRIFIED of a cave in
>fix my furnace to avoid buying a new one
>replace my leaking hot water tank myself
>fix cracks in the garage floor and ground it smooth with a big machine then polished it
>removed popcorn cieling on the first floor and paid someone (rare) ti parge the plaster smooth (Im bad at that)

Next on the list is crown molding which I got pre covid but too lazy to start.

ok fuck heads, stop letting the pot washers design the kitchen. Island gets the stove, where the BOSS of the kitchen stands, looking out surveying the lands, proud. Sink goes against the wall tucked in teh cupboards, hidden away to do the filthy pleb jobs where no one can see their shame.
>sink in island = house for dirt people
>stove in island = house for enlightened

I grew up with a father so he taught me all that stuff. Good on you to break the mold unlike the rest of these faggots.
>How do I learn the home improvement stuff?
You'd be suprised at the amount of DIY content on Youtube and even TikTok. TikTok you can find specialists giving industry tips/tricks. Youtube breaks it down for retards but skips the the tips/tricks so you typically fuck the the project up.
