Debtmaxxing is smart but what they don't tell is you don't pay it back

Savings in cash would result in a lot of lost value in an inflationary environment.
Also if everyone stops spending then instead of inflation you get the great depression.

basically, you INTENTIONALY don't pay it back,

you seek a loan, and you run away with it and never pay back the lender, its all up to you on how to worm your way out so you wont get caught

but if you buy shit you don't need instead of saving to buy an house, or land, aren't you just burning your value in irrelevant things, i know, people will argue that buying a new tv every year is not burning money, but i have the same TV until it blows up and i just keep the money the other person spent on 10 tv's, besides you can just put your money into bonds or safe stocks like utilities and it's pretty much inflation safe

Ever wondered why Caesar invaded Gaul?
It was literally just because he was so deep in debt that the second he left office (and lost his sacrosanctum) he was a dead man
He needed a pro-consulship for the immediate protection from his debtors and some foreign lands to conquer and plunder enough booty to pay his loans back

We're about to destroy inflation by slashing demand through making everyone dramatically poorer. However the USD didn't inflate as much as every other important currency, so consumer imports should become affordable again when the dust settles and we're in the boring tail part of a recession.

haha, you first

>> No.49739445

>>49737243

You are right but unfortunatly we have created a society where you have to save all your money because if you don't you will never retire and you will be cucked by rent forever. The consumer will catch on to this at some point and it will be a real shit-show.

In other words, debtmaxxing leads to greatness.
Hitler also debtmaxxed and had to conquer Europe to prevent his economy from collapsing.
Revolutionary/Napoleonic France did the same thing.

It doesn't make much sense because the Greatest Generation isn't visible, and people over 65 aren't on it
It's a small, focused part of a larger graph

The point that is clearly being made is that gen z owns fucking nothing compared to any of their recent enough to be relevant ancestors.
Do you have some sort of argument against that or no?

I due to a unique circumstance only have to pay a little over a hundred dollars rent and are banking a fair amount in savings.
Gen-X family members are OBSSESSED with convincing me to go into a lifetime of debt to pay a mortgage MORE then the rent i am paying now because
>"Well in 40 years when you work it off you will own it!"

Imagine being shackled to this shit for 40 years lmao
