It is fast cheap and easy to use. There is some stuff brewing in the ecosystem like the milkomeda evm rollup and the onebridge that will hopefully bring more users and developers.

If you're in Algo Defi, do yourselves a favour and buy $100 worth of Buttcoin (ASA 753137719). It's got a great shot of being THE memecoin on Algorand (Akita Inu was screwed from the beginning).

Would also recommend buying VEST and OCTO while they are still sub $1 million MC (VEST will skyrocket once the new site goes live with wallet connect, new liquidity rewards and the tinysafe liquidity locker, and Octorand is a hyper deflationary with current and lots more upcoming utility on one of the most most unique NFT projects I've ever come across).

There are some other promising projects on Algo but those 2 are the ones I feel most confident in, due to what they offer and plan to do going forward.

Seconded. Buttcoin has started a small tinyman shitcoin revolution on Reddit and I think that has potential to bring the casino (Vestige) back. Algorand Defi is just getting started, we’re gonna have our own summer explosion just like Ethereum and Solana.
