are there any other early 20s anons who realized the limits of their IQ recently and decided to go back to school?

I am feeling demoralized but I know it’s the right choice

You mean to finish your high school diploma or college? Either way you're still very young during your early 20s so don't feel back. I'm proud of you for taking this step towards bettering yourself.
PS when I was in my 20s I went back to school for computer science, before that I was a finance grad. Nowadays I work in design for a niche engineering field. Most people tend to switch back and forth plenty of times throughout their lives. Its normal and nothing to be ashamed or worry about.

I didn’t graduate until I was 28. Then I spent a few months unemployed, a few months working at a call center, and a few more months unemployed before I got a good job. That shit scared me for life so I’ve stayed at this job for ten fucking years. It’s tolerable and it’s literally the only tolerable job I’ve ever had. So what I’m saying is that yes you should definitely go back to school. No one will know you’re older but you will be able to focus better on your study without all the bullshit from friends (I had none by the time I graduated).

King, if you only knew how many people have had to reinvent themselves in their 20's, 30's, and 40's (and beyond), you'd have absolutely no reason to feel demoralized. Pic related, pick up and make your own future.

You're too young to realise it yet but it's not about IQ. Real life isn't some video game where you need high enough "stats" to make it. Nobody is making money on crypto right now because the market is dead, maybe forever. It's much smarter to work in a well paying field right now than speculate on crypto.

I’m 33. I tried getting into the medical field my first go around. I god OK grades but I never really tried and I got assraped towards my last year when depression and shitty study habits destroyed me. I tried to study Neuroscience a few years later and my Dad’s tuition benifits at his Uni he teaches at ran out, and it was a private Jesuit school, so there was no way I could afford it.

I’ve been working some dead-end crap jobs, and it’s looking like I’m not going to invest my way out of this hell, so I need to get a job that pays a lot better.

I’m taking some online free online courses to brush up on my math and I’m learning Java. Since I was a deadbeat college student and I ran up my student loans from the government without a degree, I’m pretty much have to pay for this on my own now, and no way I’m taking out more money to go back. Also since most of my credits were from over 10 years ago, I’ll pretty much have to start over.

I’m just going to see if I can go the CC route, get some really good grades and bust my ass looking for scholarships, go to a cheap state school and see if I can get my BS in Comp Sci and finally get myself going in life:

School works better when you're older.
You can deal with professors like a senior colleague rather than authority figure (unless they're cunts) and keep up good relations with them. And most of the males besides the rare chads are completely timid zoomer incels, especially on the engineering side of things, so you stand out more.
But you need to treat it as a tool to get where you want, rather than expect it to give you anything.

if your visual memory is poor or average prolly dont go to anything related to physics/math/engineering or if your verbal memory poor dont go to law/medicine/language studies

That's because it is. Coding is completely autistic/homosexual

That said, early retirement doesn't have to mean NEETing. I'm looking to move to SEA and communitymaxxing.

I'll be able to consider some (retirment) careers that aren't as high paying, as I'll have frontloaded my earnings and savings.

When people say "go back to school' they mean you're like 35 and you work at starbucks because your african studies degree didn't work out and now that you're debt free you want to try again to maybe get a new degree in something that doesn't literally suck shit.

The thing about the loans is true unless you do things smart. You should start checking out scholarships and shit like Phi Beta Kappa honor society, which pays for people with a 3.3 GPA to go to college (which is easy to attain in liberal farts majors).

In addition there are tax credits like the LLC or the AOTC you can take out to recoup costs of tuition if you are taking out loans.

You should talk with your parents as things like the adult dependent tax credit- if it continues to exist for the 2023 tax year- will net them 4050 dollars in credits for you living with them and them providing your food and living space.

Basically the alpha game would be something like completing basic credits for CS at community college while living with your parents with them being the cosigners for your loans, then going to a 4 year (but for only 2 years since your basic credits are completed) while reducing costs with scholarships available to you, tax credits which your parents file on your behalf and if you don't take classes during the summer, by making exactly 3,999 dollars and taking the EITC for a few hundred in free money from the government* and all of this can ensure you have less than 20k in loans after college which can easily be paid off instead of drowning in debt.

*if you make more than 4000 dollars you lose the adult dependent tax credit, but by making less than 4000 you can get your parents that 4k to pass to you for your schooling and shit and the 4k you make plus the EITC, AOTC/LLC can be put again towards paying down loans.

As for the reason why your parents should be cosigners- they should pay your interest because it becomes a tax writeoff for them.

The LLC and AOTC might be exclusionary, I'm not sure, you'd have to check.

There were people in their 30's starting, i was 22 when i went to engineering school and it was a great decision. My father graduated at 30 in the 80's. Girls will like you because you have a bit of an edge being older and experienced.

Why even start of business if you have to work your ass off and do something you're not interested in, when you can get a profession, might make even more money but have to work with other people (which is somehow really hurts the ego of this schizo)?

i didn't use apprentice in the trade union sense but those can be lucrative for anyone with slight motivation. you can be an apprentice for things other than physical trades, the point is to find someone who's good at making money and to help them while learning from them. that's ehat apprentices do.

Modafinil is your friend man, your brain starts to feel crusty as you get older.
Also get some NAC and Thiamine to help with overall mood boost and energy. Youre going to get tired using your brain non stop.without non stop dopamine rewards.

i have to take an extra year to finish up my masters degree in AI, dont feel ashamed the online era was an absolute slaughterfest, i have like 5 colleagues that finished the program and me that will finish in the extra year but the rest up to 44 have dropped. at the end of the day nobody will care if you took 1 year or two extra to finish your bachelors, especially during covid since you can spin up excuses and win brownie points
