There is a very simple reason for tha.
Alts are a way to extract money from suckers, and return to them a future promise with a <1% chance of actually ever happening.
Part of these are misguided fools, and another part of these are straight up scammers.
Have a good day.

That's exactly how it works. 90% of alts haven't crashed in value in satoshis, only in dollars.

Because when you buy at a lower than usual price you can later sell at a higher than you bought price and that extra money that you end up with is what's called profit in the professional lingo. Did you really not know that, anon?

Take a look at pic related. Bitcoin is going down, total market cap is going down, and total market cap ex-Bitcoin looks almost identical. I think the only way you can get this is if investors are selling out of virtually all cryptos, or if liquidity is simply drying up.

Actually alts didn't really tank hard. They just corrected after the last pumps. This time BTC was just so severely overpumped that there wasn't so much to tank in altcoins anyway.

So obviously this is ether a really good time to buy or a really bad one if you havent already.

I was waiting for a dip, is this it though or will it continue a few more days? I only have a bit of cash in the bank (shit currency too).

So I'm gonna take a chance, I was thinking maybe buying like 5 altcoins other than etherium.

which of these are artificially depreciated by the bitcoin dip?

Which are good to buy now?
Its alot so I would probably get it wrong on my own.
Litecoin
GRS
VTC
LSK
XRP
IOTA
DASH
NEO
Monero
Nem,
Omisego
ARK, TenX, Factom, syscoin, nav
GRID
LBRY

All appeal to me especially the first 3 and last 2. I like the last 2 because of being in academia, and looking at did well in the dotcom boom. I think that publishing on the blockchain is going to be huge for content creators, but it will take time and maybe there are better projects. I have tested and used LBRY and I am happy with the product. I would use it and will invest in it because of this. Could be constructive if response gave similar reasons e.g. I have some theory about what there is a market for since I have some experience in that market ( unhappy with current publishing, I have published 2 papers and many conference proceedings), then tested a cryptocurrency related alternative or solution to the problem, it works ( but I have not tested it extensively so I should probably do that, see how it works from a content provider side as well, but I could watch videos easily and its a work in progress).
