It's called safe withdrawal rate, which the generic rule of thumb is 4%pa for fairly safe returns on conventional investments. Which, for $10k withdraw every year without touching the principal, is $250k. Multiply as needed.

tl;dr save 250k and put it in safe gains somewhere

thats what I am most likely going to end up doing because of bad impulse control but the idea I have is to spend the 10k on something safe, incase something happens to the entire crypto market
