Man I was stupid as fuck too. Lost 30k margin trading on Bitfinex. I did analysis on what I was margin trading, I just didn't have the patience. I would always close positions when it went bad for a bit. It would kill me later to find out that my positions would be in profit if I had kept them open. Every single fucking time. It was an expensive lesson, but now I've just been opening positions and not giving a fuck anymore, made profit consistently.
